The staff is friendly and the food delicious! If you are an all-day breakfast lover or a country style food person, this place is a must!!The hot cakes are a specialty and as big as the plate! Enjoy some country ham or collards as well. You also can't go wrong with their other breakfast choices as well. The cornbread is delightful and some of the best I've ever had!
I have been to this location several times now. This is one of the best local breakfast spots around. The service is fast and friendly. They have a wide array of breakfast options and all are delicious.
This was our first visit to Big Ed's Garner location. We liked it a lot. Much more spacious than their downtown Raleigh location (which we also love). We usually go to the Farmers Market for breakfast but from niw on this will be pur go-to for weekend breakfast out. No major wait to be seated, fast & friendly service plus the food was really good! Check this one out if you like a hearty country breakfast!
The food was hot. The coffee was hot and fresh. I loved their homestyle potatoes, very well seasoned just right. The server was a wonderful polite lady and helpful!
Went to this restaurant today and it won't be the last. We came on a Sunday morning during the rush the line moved quickly and the hostess gave the 3 of us the option to sit at the bar in which we did. We were greeted by Chelle who was beyond wonderful. Friendly, efficient and honestly just seems like a genuine nice person! I wish people were like her in Philly where I'm from. Food was delicious and FYI you pay at the register close to the exit.
Usually great service and food. Today was a huge miss on both. Couldn't cook an over easy egg this morning if their lives depended on it. After two attempts while the rest of my food sat to get cold, I gave up asking. Grits were a congealed mess without the red eye gravy I asked for and I don't know what that stuff is you call sausage gravy. Looked more like brown oil with finely ground up meat in it. No flavor at all. Wife never received the apple butter she asked for twice. I should have went with my gut and gone to another very popular breakfast place in the area. Today was awful. If you're gonna charge a premium for food, at least get it right.
Breakfast destination in downtown Garner. Also in Raleigh. But wow definitely a hit. Great food however not diet friendly. Good hot coffee. Excellent service and country atmosphere. Go go go!
Been here twice now. Lunch one time and breakfast another. DELICIOUS! It's a tad more expensive than other places but worth it. If you plan on getting pancakes... Only get one.... Trust me. ❤️
Our firts visit to this Big Ed's was just so-so. My biscuits and gravy was fine; my wife's omelet was small but just fine. Service was good. The atmosphere is very cold with wood floors. The feel of the place was just not to our liking. Most will not be so picky.
Big Ed’s of Garner never disappoints. The restaurant is large enough that you never wait to be seated. There is plenty of parking in the shared mall space. The food is the typical diner menu cooked to perfection. The staff, including our amazing waitress Gabrielle, are extremely attentive. Your cup never gets empty. Eggs, bacon, sausages and home fries are the best that you will find anywhere. The price will make you a devoted customer. We did share a pancake, which is 1/3 of the “Tee Shirt Challenge”. Treat yourself to a fulfilling breakfast at Ed’s.
