Chicken katsu was delicious. Small restaurant always make the best food. Trust me. I would 100% say if you like spicy to get the hot chicken katsu curry medium was not spicy enough for me!Sushi was good according to my family.I enjoyed the yellowtail roll it was a large portion of fish in the roll.Support small establishments service was good and seemed really caring. I live far away from this area but when I do come back down I would 100% go back here
Fantastic ramen. The sushi could be a little better. The atmosphere is good just a little rushed. Also the in store seating is a bit cramped. I had a pretty good experience here though.
Chicken karaage is fresh and crispy, but it is more like chicken tempura. The ramen soup is rich and the sort boiled ege is right on spot. The extra grill touch on the chashu meat being extra bake flavor to it and improve the texture tighter. Only down side of the ramen is the noodle, it will be great if the noodle is fresh hand made on house, but that will be too much requirement for them. Over all, this place is a high speed Japanese food restaurant, provide quality food and service.
Great impromptu stop on our road trip! My family of 7 made a last-minute decision to get dinner here. They were extremely accommodating. The food was great! Even my young kids loved it. Thanks much!

If you haven't been the #Unami shop on Yadkin road #fayettevillenc you don't know what you are missing!!! I don't like noodles or pasta but this was ??? !!!! Staff was great, my waitresses was very persistent and friendly always a smile on her face. We were able to look over the menu peacefully, and eat peacfully. Never rushed we took our time and we felt very welcomed! Food was fesh and served pretty quick. Sushi, Ramen, & Boba all great!They also have chalk boards of anime character! Just another plus! Will definitely be coming back here hope you all take the time out to try this restaurant!!!I will be telling every one I know!!!!Our new favorite restaurant!!!!!

I usually go around Fayetteville trying different sushi places with my wife. When I went to Umami, I had high expectations since I heard a lot of ppl saying good things about it as well as it had a 4.6 review. But I was deeply wrong. The Costumer service was good, but the people preparing the food didn’t have gloves, they were touching all over the food and serving it without gloves at all. No hair nets, I saw two guys with really long hair with no hairnets at all, even women without any. No one had a mask even when we are in the middle of a pandemic. The food was disappointing, the sushi was very underwhelming, it was not fresh at all.. like it had been sitting in a freezer for too long, the price was too much compared to the quality of the sushi. I had the choshu don, it was tasteless, the pork belly had no flavor at all, the rice was drenched in a sweet sauce, all you could taste at one point was the sweet sauce. I also had a coke, they handed me a coke can.. it wasn’t carbonated anymore as well as it tasted way too sweet meaning the can was old and been sitting somewhere for a while. My wife’s green tea was disgusting. It was made with a tea bag of powder instead of a tea bag with actual herbs in it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend to be honest.
This place went above and beyond making restaurant food that was accessible for my disabled diabetic mother! They offered to cook our special diabetic friendly noodles that we brought in so that we could eat as a family. It was so incredibly kind of them. It was the first time in years that my mom was able to eat food in a restaurant that wasn't just a salad. The food was fantastic for all 6 of us. The salads were tasty, the Ramen was delicious and the sushi was to die for. 100 percent, we will be back asap!! 10/10 totally recommend!!
