Fresh and delicious sushi. Definitely coming back!!!
My husband and I first started getting our seafood and fish from Sunfish years ago. We happened to come across it going to the Asian market and we met Will. He was so friendly and helpful that we made sure that it was added to our grocery shopping trips. Over time I can say that he's considered a family friend at this point and we will not go anywhere else for our seafood. The service and fresh fish made us lifetime customers. We now do not care to go get sushi and other yummy foods from anywhere else but here. My kids even love his selection! I recommend to everyone to stop by. I always leave with great food and a smile.
Hands down the best place for fresh fish in Fayetteville. This is the only place I'll go for my fish needs. The owner is very knowledgeable about fish, makes great suggestions and is extremely friendly. Has started making sushi rolls also which again are the best in town and so very fresh. I have been going to this man for fish many years now and refuse to buy anywhere else.
Besides the fresh fish can we just talk about customer service? My husband and I have both and two different encounters with this business and both times we have had amazing experiences. We live about 40 mins away and I had my husband pick up some sashimi and was surprised to see ice packs in the bag. It arrived cold and fresh. Thanks for that ?
I tried Sun Fish sushi last week for the first time and when I tell you it’s fresh and wonderful, it’s an understatement! The Aloha Roll is hands down the best sushi I have ever had! The customer service is excellent and it’s clear they enjoy what they do and love sharing their gifts with people! I went back today for the second time and just wow! I can’t wait to make the Bulgogi for dinner tonight exactly as they told me to prepare it! Sun Fish is now going to be a weekly stop for me!
Went out of my norm to look for another Great Fresh Fish market today. Stumbled upon Sun Fish which has been mentioned quite a few times on the "Fayetteville Foodies" page. When I walked in you couldn't even tell this was a fish market by how clean everything was. The owner is actually behind the counter working which is always a nice touch. He was very attentive with all my questions about each of the fish from where they are from to which season is best for certain fish. I literally spent about 20 extra minutes just talking fish lol which was very kool. They have To-Go fresh rolled sushi which seems to be the rave bc everyone was buying some. But I took home these Jumbo prawns which looked so good def the best looking shrimp I've seen around. His crab legs may seem pricey but vs the ones in town they are worth every penny. While they do not have the largest selection around everything he had looked so fresh & just off the owners vibe this will be my New location to shop at. Decided to try SunFish after seeing multiple reviews on the Facebook group “Fayetteville Foodies”. I have to agree with my fellow Foodies & say that this place is great! I bought the assorted nigiri, the dragon roll, the Yu choy kimchi, & a drink. On the first bite of the nigiri, I could tell the difference in quality of this store vs. other places. The taste of the fresh fish took it to a whole other level. Not only is the sushi fresh made, the kimchi and other banchan is made by the owner’s mom! The food is fantastic but so is the owner’s attitude! He’s incredibly amicable to customers & I could tell right away that he’s truly passionate about his business. I encourage everyone to give this place a try & support a local small business!
My daughter and I took our first trip into Sun Fish Market, and what a great experience. All I knew is we wanted to grab some sushi for lunch and I wanted to try something new for Friday fish (lent). The owner, Will, talked me through all the available fish, their attributes, and made a recommendation of the pompano fish. Best bonus of all, he will break it down however you want. I elected to go with gutted, fins off and scored. My family loved this new fish adventure, and we will be back! A few added notes: the sushi was great, and Will's mom told me about some of her offerings, like bulgogi and a fresh cucumber kimchi. I am going to be a regular at this fish market!
When I tell you, this place is 5 stars, I tried a new kind of fish and it was absolutely delicious ? (yellow croaker) ? Thanks to the owner on the great selection… Y’all go check it out, it’s the best fish place in town hands down ❤️?‼️
Great fresh fish. They now have sushi too. They also have a few other Asian type food. Stuff that a Asian store carries.
