I have never had a bad meal here. This time, I ordered a burger, and it was as delicious as I expected. The staff is always nice and polite. It did take a bit too long for the food to come out (about 25 minutes) even if they were not busy at all, with only 5 customers (2 tables) in the whole restaurant. I observed the staff in the kitchen standing around and chatting a whole lot. Perhaps while my food was cooking? I am sure the owners were not there. I will still come back, but not on a Sunday, when the owners are not there.
I’m so glad there’s a place like this close to my house. Not only are the staff super friendly, but the patrons are as well. If you come here you will definitely make friends. The food is good. My wife usually gets the fish tacos. I usually get a burger and a cold beer. Always good. The bartender/manager, Jeff, made me feel like I was a regular just the second time I walked in. He already had beer ready before me before I sat down.I usually go on Sunday’s during the NFL season to watch the early games and I would highly recommended doing that if you’re a football fan and like having a good time.
Nice quite place with excellent food. A few wines to pick from and nice bar as well
I was here for a private dinner. The food was very tasty, though some portions were small. We had tomato soup, grilled chicken, seasoned rice, meatloaf and zucchini.
First time trying this little restaurant close to the hotel I was staying at on Ramsey. It is located in a strip plaza so not the easiest place to find or see from the road. My coworker had been there previously and recommended it. The menu looked quite appealing and we started with the tater tot trio which was delicious. I asked for a rare burger with sweet potato fries and what I received was a medium well burger with a small portion of fries. Presentation wise this was lackluster at best. This restaurant has great potential with its menu and the fact it is next to a local brewery. They did carry the beers on tap which did bring my review to three stars.
Don't go on a Sunday evening for dinner...they were out of several items including the parmesan peppercorn chicken. Pork chops and risotto no longer on the menu. I settled for grilled salmon and it was delicious. Regular Mac and cheese also good, but the buffalo is mediocre. Fish tacos had bones and scales. We got there @7. Server was apologetic and helpful but they shouldn't offer dinner service on Sunday nights if they can't offer what's on the menu. Even heard a staff member comment they were out of salad right before we left....not worth the prices.
I have to give it five stars being that everything I inquired about to host a large group in one of the separated rooms was accommodated for on pretty much less than 24 hours notice. I did not have any issues trying to set things up as I was out of town as well very accommodating, professional and everything expedited as requested. I would use this location again if I were to come in town and need it a reserved area for a larger group thank you to Gwen and her staff.I do wish the buffet menu offered a bit more however it worked the count we gave her the food was just enough and then some so really no complaints.I definitely recommend spending your money, quality time with the people you need to be with if it is a larger group at scrub oaks there is a minimum to spend which I think is very reasonable and accommodating unlike other restaurants that want to charge just to be in a separated area this will draw in more people than some of the other places charging when you're already going to plan to spend for food and drinks. Great job, great job definitely a hit for me and I do not live in Fayetteville any longer but I will come back surely.
Slightly disappointed. We loved this restaurant and attended quite frequently. Up until just recently it has always been absolutely amazing. However the last meal we attended was all around sub par. The hamburger was way over cooked, the 7 fries I got were old. My wife's fish was also overcooked to the point of a chew toy. The service was less than what we had become accustomed to. Our waitress was less than attentive and seemed more interested in talking with her coworkers than paying attention to the 3 tables that were in the restaurant. In saying this I do hope they return to their former glory. I loved this place and will continue to try. Hopefully we can update back to 5 stars!
COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered an appetizer of chicken and one of sweet potato fries to eat at Hecklers next door. Unfortunately, what I received was a side of fries. I went back an let the the front desk know that a side of fries was not what I ordered. The individual at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and indicated that is what I ordered. My bill was over $16. I paid for an appetizer. I spoke with my friend that was eating in the restaurant and she indicated that her son received a similar portion for his fries which is not the norm as they frequent there often. I'll paid for another appetizer of fries that was $6 and left a $2 tip because I appreciate people working during this time. I am so disappointed that the jury is out on whether I will ever come here again. Which is sad because the chicken was actually pretty tasty. I think next time I will just order from Pierro's next door.UPDATE: Can you please provide a different email address. I tried it twice and had it kicked back both times. Thank you.
Best fresh pork skins ever! Also enjoyed the fish tacos.
