The $6 watermelon Margarita was the best thing my friend and I ordered. My friend ordered shrimp tacos and she said it didn't taste very good. I ate all my food because we came in there with a big appetite. I ordered the carne asada but I don't think the steak was a 9oz as stated. The picture of the carne asada on their website looks twice the size which is very deceiving. I've ordered 6oz steaks before and they looked the same size as the 9oz steak here. I don't think ordering the carne asada at On the Border is worth $17. The carne asada comes with rice, veggies, and a jalapeno. To me the rice was bland. I felt like I was eating a pack of microwave rice. The whole time I was wondering what the noise was under our table and come to find there was a puddle underneath us but I don't know if someone spilled something there before us. I hope it wasn't a leak. If you like plain food this is the place for you. Other than that, I recommend going to a different restaurant like Guacaholic in Spring Lake. Guacaholic's carne asada is definitely worth the money there. My friend an I always dine out for some quality time, but we decided that we don't think another visit here would be the best idea.
Barbara knows my order and makes sure everything is right. She is fast and efficient as well as a fun person. Love eating there and being served by Barbara!♥️
My mother-in-law really likes this place so when she wants to go out this is where we take her. You never have to wait for a table, the staff is usually very nice. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the rating was a little lower than what I'm comfortable with at 93%. I would still recommend. It appears to be clean and the food tastes good.
Smells like old mop water, tables were not cleaned properly. They were very sticky. Trash all over the floors. My family and I arrived at 9:10pm and we were seated and that was it. We waited for 15m and no one came to take our drink orders. We were passed Numerous times. The people that came after us were served before us. Poor customer service. Rude.
My daughter and I had not been to On the Border in a long time. I went here for an early birthday dinner. My husband and I got the Classic Chimichunga beef and chicken w/queso sauce w/ beans and rice. The beans were dry and My husband's food was not hot. My daughter ordered the 3 sauce Enchilada w/ beans and rice. She enjoyed it a lot. Even with the few mistakes, I will go back.
I was glad they brought back their children flantas but they didn't taste the same. Was disappointed, but the margarita was good. I'll try it again when the weather is nicer so I can sit outside.

Service, food and drinks have been great every time we come. We visit at least once a month. I think we always end up here after 1 or 2pm on Saturdays and we rarely get a long wait. There is a good selection of kids meals.
Delicious food??Had the beef chimichanga with chili on top. So good. The chips with the spicy salsa they give you before your meal was so tasty. Have always liked On the Border. The food continues to get better.
Whoever made the food tonight, wonderful. Best we've had from here.Whoever packaged it for delivery, you gave it a good tuck in to sleep in that bag.Food was still hot, cheese was melted and the brownie was still warm and soft. No mess, everything was there and I didn't have to do dishes.
