July 1st I purchased a fish plate and the fish taste old , as if it stayed in the freezer too long and they used it to keep from wasting it. They left a bad taste in my mouth. The collard had no flavor no ham bits , ham hocks nor turkey wings as flavor . You could taste the tap water in the greens . And I brought two plates for 13.00 dollars. It’s just hard to find quality food unless u cook it your self . Chick-fil-A Mac and cheese was 10 times better.
Absolutely wonderful home cooked food! The customer service is fabulous as well as the cooks! The owner is very aware of her customers needs, treats her employees with respect and can throw down in the kitchen!Highly recommend for sure!
Visited this place while out of town because I've heard some good things about it. Unfortunately, the day I went, the credit card machine was down and so was the grill. The one item that I wanted to order was therefore unavailable.
Everything is delicious but we absolutely love their wings in their sides are phenomenal. What we love most are the people there, my son had the best 17th birthday there ever
The customer service is amazing; food is to die for; the only thing I will say is that they went too far with the sugar on their grape cool aid. Otherwise they are amazing!!!
No picture. I forgot? HOWEVER, THAT FLOUNDER PLATE?? with GREENS ON GREENS?? the fish was fried PERFECT and the greens were good, fresh and NOT GREASY. Ohhhhh the HUSH PUPPIES ??
I ordered the Flounder plate with two side. The Flounder was sooooo good, seasoned well and with a crispy coating and not greasy. My sides were collards and mac&cheese. The collards were seasoned perfectly and were awesome. The mac&cheese was good but could have been creamier and with less grease. Overall I was pleased and finished the whole plate and will be returning.
1st time experience. I ordered the Joshua plate with greens and mac & cheese and cornbread. I wanted cabbage, however they were out or didnt make none that day. Also out of banana pudding, unfortunately. Customer service was good, however I wish I could say the same for the food. The food came out piping hot which was a plus. But, the cornbread DRYYYYYYYY, the mac & cheese wasn’t made with no seasonings, no meat in the greens? Bland. However that chicken was amazing, I’ll only recommend the chicken if you want to try out the place. Make sure you got seasonings at home, every side needed to be doctored.
Food was horrible from the yams, collards and baked Mac and cheese. The fried fish was so greasy that I could wring the grease from it. Just my opinion. 2 stars was given for the nice people who work there. Never again!
Mac and cheese was definitely warmed up in the microwave or something it was nasty the bottom plate was melting like the put the whole plate in the microwave The gizzards burn the plastic and plastic stuck in the gizzards
