A bit of the way off 95 but when I saw soup dumplings I added a detour and stop on our trip and they were so good that we did it again when we were driving back up north!Service was great and place is very clean and spacious. Food came quick and was all very good. Soup dumplings are best I’ve ever had with sooo much juice. Ribs and spicy popcorn chicken were great as well and the Dan Dan noodles were also a huge hit. We tried scallion pancakes and the pork fried rice and I would order it all again. The fried rice is different than you expect from a China king but I do like this style and have had it similar at other dim sum places. It’s got a very smoky flavor and not brown from soy sauce but so delicious.The Mr K came out both times to say hello and all the staff we met were very helpful!
Dine in Date: DEC 2021Had the infamous Mr. K’s with the fam but I’m going to be brutally honest..we only liked the lo mein, hot and sour soup, and ragoons. We get it, it could have been an off day but it’s not for us.General Tso Chicken- Not hot and hard to chew. Tasted like Copenhagen Long Cut!Hot Pepper Chicken- Not spicy at all and saltyRibs- Just salty and no garlic flavor.Veg Egg Roll- It’s okay.
Went to Mr. K for the first time. It wasn't too busy, we got there at noon time on Saturday. The lady that was attending us were super nice and seems knowledgeable about their menu.We were used to taking out chinese foods from the chinese restaurants around here and im telling you, Mr. K is top notched! The flavors, the authenticity, the freshness of the ingredients and the quality-- simply the best!!My husband ordered some kind of deep fry chicken pop corn-- i totally forgot the name of the food, but it was super delicious and flavourful, it has a little kicked of spiciness to it. I got the twice cooked pork and oh boy!-- this was just reminded me of HOME! It's been a while since i had that taste, i meant decade! It was super delicious! Everything comes with a side of rice!Overall, it was a great lunch experience! We highly recommend trying Mr. K!Me and my husband just said, we will go back every Saturday and try out other foods in their menu! :)Update:Went back to Mr. K and this time we ordered soup dumplings, pork fried rice, steamed pork buns and chongqing street noodle soup, everything was super flavourful! However, i find the fried rice and the soup to be a little on the salty side.. it would have been perfect dish if it doesn't have too much salt because like i mentioned, it was so flavourful! Also, we met the owner and he was super nice! We can't wait to go back and try other items in their menu.
Super sweet place the service and atmosphere was great! It looks completely different inside than you would guess! I thought this was a buffet place in all honesty. Way better! Tasty high quality food, such a variety of choices!
This is the best Chinese food in Fayetteville, bar-none. No buffet junk. It’s Mr K & his mother doing all of the cooking. Delicious & authentic.
Had the chicken dry pot and pork fried rice for lunch. The ingredients were super fresh and probably the best-fried rice we have ever had. The young lady at the register/server was super friendly and helpful with the questions we had and didn't allow our drinks to run out. We will for sure be back.*the owner of the plaza should invest in some upkeep to the parking lot and building but don't let that deter you

This place is IT! My husband and I have been in and out of Fort Bragg for more than 7 years. This is the best Chinese food we have had and my husband is half Chinese. Highly recommend! Give them ALL the business. Food is well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and delicious.
We tried Mr. K's Authentic Chinese right after he opened. We had mixed reviews with that food. However, we decided to go back tonight.It was not crowded but there was only one girl being the hostess, waitress and doing other jobs. A lady at the counter expressed her disdain because she said she was told it was going to be 45 minutes and her order had not been taken yet. The girl was going to seat us but proceeded to help this lady because she had been waiting. The girl did tell us it was going to be 45 minutes, i appreciated that up front. I left it up to my husband and he said yeah we're already here. We sat ourselves in a booth.The girl came to get drink orders. We got water and hot jasmine tea. Automatically, we ordered the garlic ribs appetizer.It was a little bit of a wait but then my husband ordered the squirrel fish (fried sea bass with sweet and sour sauce) and it came with white rice.I ordered shrimp dumplings (they came out after rest of food had came which was understandable, they take longer), egg rolls and shrimp with broccoli which came with white rice.The ribs were good, nice garlic flavor and tasty...they were a little greasy but thats to be expected. No complaints.I loved the shrimp dumplings, they are good even without the dipping sauce. I really like shrimp and i like garlic and i like the texture of dumplings like those.Egg rolls...i couldn't eat because i was full.My shrimp and broccoli, ate as much as possible. It was very good. Nice flavor, fresh broccoli and carrots. Not too salty and if you've had the brown sauce that typically comes on dishes like this; i would say you can tell a difference in this sauce compared to the others.Someone behind us complained about the price after she saw her bill according to my husband. Yes, it can be pricey but you do get a lot of food.The owner came out to greet the patrons the first time we ate there and it was nice to see he came out again today. I think it's really good to see that, not just for business purposes but because he wanted to know if the patrons were satisfied.Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and we were satisfied with our food.
Mr. K went out of their way to make something off menu (fried shrimp) without hesitation... the seasoning was on point, the rest of the food was phenomenal, and we'll be repeat customers going forward.
