The building is cool and has a great atmosphere but the food is terrible. Im not sure why this has such good reviews. Over cooked fries last time, over cooked tots this time, mac and cheese was dry both times. The pulled pork was alright but nothing to write home about. The staff was sweet, i hope this place is working on their kitchen it would make it a million times better.
Macs speed shop definitely a good place to sit down and eat with entertainment and good food.I ordered their hickory smoked wings and they came out fast and hot, same as my appetizer. Servers were quick to ask about my order and checked up regularly to make sure I was enjoying food and needing refills. I had one server named ariana and she was the best server I’ve had by far. She went above and beyond what you’d expect from a server. Would recommend eating their with friends and family again
I was there last weekend with a group of over 30 people. They accommodated us with a great space, they provided great service and we did not have any issues with food or service. Will definitely return again. Thank you Mac's Speed Shop. Our Spartan 4-0 group can be overwhelming in size and you handled it perfectly. Thank You.
Great BBQ and friendly biker bar vibe. Great sauces and their smoked chicken and baked berms were spectacular. Our server was friendly, upbeat and gave us great recommendations.
Mac’s has the best food! Great experience. We shared the sampler platter with pulled chicken, ribs, brisket and grilled chicken it was absolutely delicious. Everything was full of flavor, tender and just plain good. Ready to visit again and try other stuff. I didn’t like the Bloody Mary tho. Our waitress did a good job and was very attentive.
We stopped in after looking for a place we hadn’t tried in the area. We were quickly greeted and seated. We ordered the platter with four meats and four sides. Everything sounded so good on the menu, we wanted to try it all. This was a good option for us. We ordered drinks as well. The Bloody Mary was left on the table as it came because it had an overwhelming flavor. The portion sizes were good and we hand some to take out. We would probably try it out again with the exception of the Bloody Mary.
While passing through town stopped at this BBQ joint because it seemed to get good ratings. Unfortunately the meal was not great. We ordered the whole lot combo to share between 3 people. They bring out complimentary hush puppies with honey butter. Our sides included fries, sweet potato fries, cheese grits, and a side salad. The best part of this restaurant was the salad with French friend onions, corn, cheese and ranch. We also ordered an appetizer of the burnt ends. The burnt ends were almost purely fat, little to no meat at $16.50. The combo we chose included two servings of brisket ( they charge extra for premium meats) pulled pork, and at Louis ribs. The ribs were inedible, having had at Louis bbq many times, I have never had a rub and drenching of sauce to where you can’t even taste the meat. The pulled pork was dry. Brisket was just okay. Overall, I would avoid this restaurant, you could find much better BBQ somewhere else.
Stopped in for dinner, seated quickly and service was excellent! Space is a little tight but not terrible. Food was VERY good all around with 1 small exception, and this is a small exception literally The burger I ordered was listed as a 1/2 pound burger. It definitely seemed a bit small. Also a rather small amount of cheese. Having said that, it was well prepared and seasoned reasonably well. The chicken sandwich was Top Notch and the sides were a healthy portion and hot. I must say the prices are a bit high. Probably will not eat here again, but wasn't disappointed overall. Just feel the prices are not in line with the items.
The atmosphere is very collegial...a mom and pop version of BW3. Not fair to comment on food taste since I didn't eat any meat dishes but their salad and sweet potato fries were delicious.Aesthetically all their meat dishes looked delicious, with large portions and very affordable prices.I'd bring out of town meat eaters here for sure.
The food was awesome! Service wasn't great, but it was still good. Maybe the waitress was new? She got my first drink order wrong, but I don't expect perfection every time. People have their off day's. Anyway, I will definitely continue coming here!
