Great food (Reuben), and excellent beverages (spicy Mango & Siracha margarita). Even though busy, service was excellent and quick but not rushed!
Pretty good place to go in downtown Fayetteville. It had indoor and outdoor seating and it looked like the outdoor was also pet friendly! Their food was a bit above average & my boyfriend enjoyed his beer flight. Our waitress was super kind & made a great effort throughout the evening to check on us. Taking a Star off because the music inside was super loud even at just 7 and it was difficult to talk/hear! Otherwise, great place!
1st time eating here since before COVID. They did some renovations that look great! Food was spot on and the Rock 103 is always a favorite!
This place has recently become one of my favorite spots downtown! The Ruben and the Spinach dip are my favorites but everything I tried has been delicious. I do recommend asking for fresh chips however because at times they have been chewy. I coincidentally had Andrea as my server the last two weekends and she is amazing; It’s hard to find a server who will go out of their way to explain things to you in detail and be both attentive but not overbearing through out the meal and she hit the nail on the head! She even remembered mine and my husbands names from last time! We have been to the bar a few times as well and the bartenders always make delicious drinks and give great conversation.
I’ve been to Gaston maybe 5-6 times over the last four years. I personally think it’s fine - nothing to write home about. Burgers are a bit bland but the fries are great. Fish and chips is pretty solid as well. Spinach artichoke dip…not so much. Very salty and bland tasting, and very small portion size for $9.Beer is fine, again nothing special but not the worst. They do have good cocktails. Service is fine, no one is rude and they leave you alone for the most part.Would I intentionally go here? No. But if I’m ever downtown and want a quick bite or drink, it’ll do.
I love this place and the music they play. As I write this I am listening to All American Rejects. For many years I have wanted a bar that plays such music and then here comes Gaston answering my prayers.
Loved the service and food!
First experience eating here and it was great. We were greeted by a friendly host & our server, Veronica was phenomenal! I’ve had servers at different restaurants write down my order and still get it wrong… Veronica memorized our order and everything came out perfect. We all ordered burgers, they come medium well unless asked otherwise. My father in law enjoys his burger medium rare and that’s exactly what he got. We all wanted medium and we got exactly that. Drinks were very good. My in-laws are only in town for the weekend and we wanted to take them somewhere good, so thankful we came here!
I had the boondocker IPA and an old fashioned (yes they have booze cocktails here). Both were good and served with a smile. There was music bingo going on the night I was there, it was an interesting game and fun to play. I didn't eat but the people next to me had a good looking flat bread.
Decent selection of beers to experience, prices are competitive. The side walk seating is really nice particularly with the warmer months coming and if you enjoy the active scenery of people and vehicles passing by.
