It was our first time there. We got in and took a table! They knew we were seating there! And no one came to us!! After 18 minutes of seeing every employee pass by us, my husband ask a lady “What do we have to do to get service here?” She told us to go to the cashier and order!! I ask for the menu and the cashier came to us to TELL us what they have!!!!!! To the owner, you need to GET MENUS!!! So people can look and look and then decide what they one!!!!! THATS THE NORMAL THING TO DO!!! They were more than 4 employees there!! One or 2 should be waiters!!!! And then you pay when you finished!!!! And by the way. I ask for mofongo y me dieron guineo verde majado!!!! I’m from PR and I know my food!!!
This review is for many visits. The service is on point. The menu is authentic Puertorrican and some latin dishes. I personally like the “tostones Rellenos” however the steak with rice and beans is marvelous they always care to add salad and cook with sofrito and PR flavor. They also súper and support the local artist and once in a while you can have great food with live music for an epic night .. if you like to try some great food I invite you to visit Desde Mi Balcon
The restaurant is really small, there were too many people in there, no social distancing and too crowded. The employees also did not wear their mask properly.
If I could give a "no star" review I would. Our experience was beyond disappointing and an entire fail from beginning to end. To begin with we were told there was a 45 minute wait, which is acceptable, especially on a Saturday night. While the place is small (it was not full) and we had a party of 12. After our order was placed the it took 15 minutes to just have our beverages served. Then after 45 minutes we asked what the status of the order was....at this point the waitress said it would be another 30 minutes...."maybe." There was no apology from management, no explanation for our order not being updated or timely and to add to the frustration even the "appetizers" came out 30 minutes after the order was placed. I wasn't aware a palm size ceviche took 25 minutes to serve. The food may be great....we will never know....because we walked out at the one hour mark. We will also never try the place again nor recommend this eatery. As a Puerto Rican we brought people to have a wonderful experience with recommended food. Sadly, we did not represent well.....we can do better and please take this as constructive feedback. We can do better PR!
This restaurant features authentic Puertorican food with the real “Puertorican Restaurant” atmosphere. You will get more than delicious plates you will feel the warm of a rich culture. This small and cozy place will make you come back for more. The attention is fenomenal, really good prices, super clean and the portions let you know that they are in the business of making people comfortable and happy.
