It was not OK. Didnt get all the food I ordered. Ordered triple com on only got pig feet. Was bland. Canned sweet potatoes was used. Had more hog maws than chitterlings. Chitterlings were diced so small. Didnt get potato salad. . Cornbread was good. Husband had fried pork chop, peach cobbler. Said was good. So disappointed. Rather not go back
First time patron today along with my daughter. The customer service was excellent from a the staff .. We felt very welcomed & the food was hot & cooked to order. . The Kool aid ( yes I said Kool aid ?) was perfectly sweeten not to much not too little. With all of the selections on the menu we will be back to eat our way through. Great place , great ppl !!
The Gizzard/fries combo was pretty decent , the customer service was great . I would come back and try a few more dishes and see what it’s hitting for ??
Called to place order and took more than 3 calls and 30 minutes to get through and then was placed on hold and forgotten about. This is usual practice if you want to eat here. Once you receive your food it is okay if it is even still hot. Need to do better for more service
I have eaten here several times with no complaints all of the food was delicious each time I went. He cook the liver gravy and onions fresh and the pork chops were fried fresh and the turkey wings were delicious as well.
the lemon pepper wings were salty. I only got 1 wing and 5 drums that were overly cooked. The fried chicken plate was just wings and drums. I thought I would be receiving a leg and thigh bc they have a fried chicken wing plate .The macaroni was very oily and loose. It was also gritty. The yams were very good but it had a lot of skin in it. The overall flavor of the yams were very good and as well as the texture. I have been a fan of flavors for awhile and recently the food has bot been up to par. However the food I received today was the worst food I ever ate in a long time. Then when my mother called the gentleman who answered the phone didn't apologize or offer anything in return. He instead said Oh well I guess I lost a customer. And he also made it clear that he has a lot of customers so every now and again the food isn't going to be up to par. Basically saying quantity over quality. Eat at your own risk!
Food had great flavor but sad to say both of our plates of food where cold.. not warm COLD wife had the curry chicken as cause they where out of fried chicken. I had the jerk chicken. The fried plantains were awesome tho even cold. We will return and try it again after a few weeks and update our review accordingly.
My barber had this food and told me about it at first visit I got 2 hamburger steak plates I ate inside the establishment food was good the hamburger steak was actual pat out meat fast forward to second visit picked up food to go order again 1 hamburger steak plate and 1 beef stew plate This time hamburger steak taste and looked just like a frozen dinner Salisbury steak out the freezer part in a grocery store same shape texture and flavor Beef stew was ok but for 14 dollars had maybe 6 lil pieces of beef as shown in first picture fast forward decided to give them one more try Ordered 2 beef stews very nice gentleman up front told him about my last experience with beef stew even showed picture he understood and said that’s not right the owner his wife comes in attitude out the gate remarks were made when he told her about our last experience that showed furthermore they do not care about their customers are the amount of food they are serving short version of what was said is Beef Stew Is too high and we were getting on their nerves and we actually heard them say this The second picture is the yams and bacon cheeseburger with 10 fries that we also ordered the fries were rubbery and grease soaked 3rd picture ….also ordered to slices of cake that were definitely store bought …..We will not be returning do yourself and favor and don’t waste ur money if I could give -0 stars I would
I can't speak to any of the negative reviews i have just read . I found the environment down home and cozy .the food was excellent and the service was well above par. The menu is very large and the diverse foods that can be be ordered is better than i have found at any one stop restaurant. Thank you. See you again soon.
They have great food and customer service. But some of the pricing is a little high especially on the oxtails. For the price you only get about two pieces and rice.
