Went to Carolina Ale House tonight with some friends for an impromptu dinner. Not going to lie - when they chose it, I was less than thrilled seeing as though it had been years since I had last eaten there and I don’t remember it being very good. Nonetheless, I obliged.I showed up later than everyone else and the waitress who was very friendly, asked for my drink order, so I asked for water. It took her over 10 minutes to bring it to me. No biggie. Everyone else ordered food before me, so naturally their meals came out before mine. No one had any silverware, so she said she’d come back with some. 10 minutes and nothing. So I went to the host stand and asked the host for silverware. She went to the back and after 5 minutes, she came back with silverware.My food arrived (patty melt) and it was severely undercooked. I asked for medium and it was very clearly rare (I surveyed the group just to make sure I wasn’t crazy and they all agreed it was rare). It was so bland and I was already turned off by its lack of doneness that after one bite, I put it down and my friend offered to eat it.Then it was time to pay and the waitress sat there trying to remember what everyone ordered since she didn’t write it down.Couple things to note - the restaurant was not busy at all, it was dirty, and there were many empty tables that clearly hadn’t been bussed.Overall it was a pretty just…bad experience. No other way to put it. Only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the waitress was nice, despite taking forever to do anything (or not doing it at all, so then I had to do it for her). Would absolutely not return.
Omg food was delicious, we'd the spinach dip, fried wings and the sandwich that I can't remember the name ?. Everything was fast so good! Zachary was so kind. We are coming back :))
Give the cheese curds a try! Ordered online and drove over for a pickup. Wings and things a bit pricy but so is everything. Thought fries came with the wings ? don't think things like that lol Decent food will return. Picture the spicy jam for the cheese dippers. Delicious. Ranch and blue cheese with the honey buffalo and buffalo. No option for All flats to order online.
They sat me at a filthy sticky table with bottle rings on it. Then I waited 15 minutes and never got waited on! To add insult to injury on their website they have a Reuban sandwich well there was none on this local menu. I finally walked out and went somewhere else to eat.
The service was great. We had a pretty large group. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The meal was good and not very expensive.
Went on a Tuesday night after 5:00 for appetizers. Our waitress was really nice and very friendly. We sat in the outdoor area and was able to enjoy the fresh air and the the bright sunshine. The atmosphere was quiet initially and as the sun began to set,it started to get a bit more rowdy and loud.As far as the food it came out hot. We had the shrimp appetizer as well as the spinach dip and bacon cheese fries. My favorite were the shrimp, then the spinach cheese dip and the bacon cheese fries rank third for this particular evening. Overall great drinks, there is a drink special for Tuesday nights on the menu, appetizers came out hot and service was great.
Went to the Ale House last night. Draft Stella tasted terrible and had to turn it in for a bottle. Then when it came time to check out I noticed an 18% gratuity added. There were just two of us and we were sitting at the outside bar. I inquired and was told it is a mandatory tip after 10:30pm. I was furious and probably WON’T GO BACK AGAIN because of it. A bad policy if you ask me. I wonder how many people without knowing add an additional tip. Look at your receipt and don’t go after 10:30, I know I won’t go there again.
infestation of roaches, even inside the salt shakers. it's disgusting to say the least. and to acknowledge it as if it's no big deal.
The restaurant is nasty and roaches crawl on your table. There were even roaches in the salt shaker. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!
