Wow! A Taste of Trelawny Jamaican Restaurant is by far the best tasting Jamaican food I have had in Fayetteville, NC. The food was so delicious! I was afraid to go because of all the other bad experiences I have had at other Jamaican Restaurants, but I'm so glad I went because it was worth the money and the food was AWESOME! I ordered the large Oxtail plate with rice and peas and cabbage. They even put some delicious fried plantain on my plate. The cabbage was cooked and seasoned real good. Thank you so much for an awesome experience! I'll be back Lord's willing.
I loved the food and the workers. They were fantastic. They get 5 stars all day.I met the owner and she is the reason I took away 3 stars. She was rude. Very rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt 3 separate tines. She failed miserably. I'm big on respect and courtesy. I tip well over 15 percent and I never send back a plate if my order is wrong. I always give extra excuses for the workers because they deal with rude customers and oppressive management. I will never tolerate a rude business owner.I will never spend another dime in this place. It has been about 2 years and I haven't been there since. I just now remembered to write a review. Sad. I can remember her rudeness like it was 5 minutes ago.Black people, whether you have an accent or not; from the island or the projects there is no excuse. You must do better. Get it together sister.
Beyond disappointed. The customer service was great. However, the food was horrible. The rice had a burnt taste. The cabbage was extremely over cooked and with a weird taste as well. They gave 4 pieces of oxtails on a large platter and to be honest I wasn’t even upset once I tasted the oxtails. The oxtails also had a weird taste as if they was not mixing the right seasoning together.
My previous visit before, and this recent one the food was just ok. Asked for spicy Jerk Chicken and it was not.For the price you would think you would get more meat than what you're given. Also rice and peas no longer come with the meal, you get two sides. If you want the rice and peas that is one of your two sides. It should be a sign stating that before you order, because no one mentions the change before you order .Food used to be really good to me. I will go back to the restaurant I was going to before I found out about this one.Response to the owner: You just clarified what I typed about the rice and peas not included with the meal anymore to be true in your response. Read my review carefully before you say my review is false. Just because I did not word it the way you did does not mean it's false. Being that it is not included with the meal anymore and I have to ask for it means it's considered as one of the two sides. Your employees are the ones who told me over the phone and after letting me see my food before it's bagged and I pay for it. SO if I am wrong for what I typed about what I was told and shown check your employees for false information. I live in the same world you live on so I am TOTALLY aware of the price hikes, and I understand that .There's a review on here that's stating the same thing I stated about the rice and peas no longer included with the meal that you did not respond to. Your portions have been small before the hike . There's also other reviews stating for the price before the price hike complaining about not enough portions that you also didn't respond to. You should take ALL of your customers into consideration instead of just some who don't want starch. I've been inside waiting in line on two different occasions and have seen and heard customers saying that's all the meat you get for the price before the hike and I still spent money with you because of the taste of the food. Since you reminded me that I am entitled to my opinion I will NEVER come back. ONE LOVE!!!!
I’m in town visiting and decided to stop by one of the few Jamaican restaurants that are open on a Sunday. I drove a bit aways from another side of Fayetteville, and tried calling before hand but the line was busy. No big deal. There was a lady sweeping upon me entering the restaurant. She literally took a look at me and proceeded to continue sweeping. No greeting. No may I help you? Nothing. So I left. This occurred 10 mins prior to me writing this review. I will not return.Customer service is the foundation of any business. No excuses. Do better.
Absolute best Jamaican food we’ve had here in Fayetteville. Great service with very pleasant staff. Oh and the best cow foot soup I’ve EVER tasted. I could go on for days but I’ll let you try for yourself. Tryst me it’s worth it.
food was amazing, vibes was amazing! my first time here and will be back for the amazing oxtails!!!
This is my first time ordering from here and I order off line so I don’t know if I am supposed to pay for ever side but I order a large jerk chicken and I thought it would have came with the rice and cabbage and then I order a side of macaroni and cheese but the actual plate is just filled with Mac and cheese and I also got a side of Mac and cheese. I don’t know why it was like that today. But if I was to come again I won’t be ordering online.
This is the best kept secret in Fredericksburg! Food is amazing (love the pork) and the people who work there have awesome customer service. Shout out to Cassie who's always smiling and makes great drinks! Thank you for your hospitality!
