Vans has the BEST pizza ? in Elizabeth City, certainly there are other really good options, but Vans always knocks it out if the park with a traditional pie—their crust that has that perfect bite, flavorful sauce and fresh toppings….but LAST NIGHT, we had the very best pizza ever from there! We love Vans for that small town diner feel, friendly hard-working staff and the consist products over the last 20 years. Thank you!!!! ❤️
Spaghetti has a lot of black pepper in sauce. Baclava was not fresh. Pizza was ok
My friend and I went for lunch a few days ago. I hadn't been in this Restaurant for years because I as a black woman, didn't feel welcome the last time I stepped in here. I'll start with the food: we ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer. We then ordered the meat pizza and subbed onions for the pepperoni. Garlic knots were amazing, the pizza reminded me of pizza hut; I'm from New York, those people who say Van's Pizza is better than N Y pizza either A) Never had authentic hand tossed NY pizza or B) think as long as its dough, sauce and toppings its great. Not bad, just not memoriable nor can compare to NY pizza, they don't even make their own dough, it's frozen. Four stars for those garlic knots. The service: they only had one table of 5 or 6 people when we came in. There were three women behind the counter, pitiling and one man who might have been the manager who all took at lest five minutes to acknowledge that we were standing at the 'please wait to be seated' booth when you walk in. They took so long that we were on the verge of seating ourselves. This lack of service is one of the reasons I hadn't been back here in at least 15 years up until this point. Two stars for basically ignoring us after we gave our order and we never got a ticket at the table, had to go to the counter. I'd go back to pick up a call in order of those garlic knots but would not go back to eat there.
The food was delicious and the waitress was very good. The sweet tea was right on target. Prices are decent.
Best in town from the pizza an salads to the amazing wings dressings are homemade to die for an the owner is always busting his butt going from the kitchen to serving thanks for amazing food

Hands down the best restaurant in Elizabeth City. The best pizza I've ever had it reminds me of New York style pizza absolutely delicious. I strongly recommend the eggplant parm sub and a house salad!
Until recently, Van's was a great place. The food is good. Something is WRONG there. 3 people at a table-not busy, 45 minutes for mom to get her gyro salad. They forgot the other 2 meals (gyro & lazagna). An another half hour before we got them. The "manager's response was, "well that happens". Sorry to say it will be a while before we go back again.
This is what they call a $10 "large" chef salad and $8 worth of dessert. More lettuce than toppings. If I wanted a dish of lettuce, I could have gotten that at Food Lion for $1.79. If this is the large, I'm sure glad I didn't get the small! And that's a slice of AMERICAN CHEESE. Not even real cheddar to make it worth the $10. And baklava pieces that are literally 2 bites big. $4 each for 2 bites of dessert. ? Never again!
