Went in for a quick bite and a drink tonight at 8:10. Was met by a reluctant server that told us that, "I'm pretty sure we are done seating for the night. The owner chose to close early for some reason. I don't know." We waited for months after a rough opening to visit since it's less than 5 minutes from our house. We wanted to make sure they had time to work things out and be their best. Apparently their best was a shrug and to be told no. I called from the parking lot to ask about the bar to be told that they were closing at 8:30 tonight but the bar was probably still seating. An update on the Facebook page would be nice. I don't believe, given the flippant server and the surprise change in time, that we will give it a second chance. I can see why this place has 3.3. We went to The Happy Taco where staff are experienced and genuinely happy to see guests.
After spending all 30 years of my life in this cesspool of a town, I'm finally leaving it behind for a fresh start. This new(ish) restaurant was the perfect sendoff. Lovely decor, comfortable atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff (what?? where am I??), and the food is delicious and superbly cooked. I'm no expert on Mongolian (which is also quite good here), but they knocked the seafood out of the park; easiest crab I've ever eaten, the legs practically opened themselves with not a single piece of meat broken. There are some pricey items on the menu like we ordered as a treat, but there's all kinds of options including wallet-friendly items, from Mongolian to seafood to burgers and chicken, with a dash of Louisiana style dishes. If you're desperate for anywhere in this dreary mess of a town to eat quality food *and* have a good experience, this is the only place to do it.
I made my first purchase today 2/6/22. This business has been open for a while but because I live 35-40 minutes away and there's a pandemic I wanted to give it enough time to work out any issues. The food was good. Seafood boil was better than the place that is closer to me. It was seasoned well. Catfish basket was good. Could have been cooked a little longer and the grey strip was running down the middle but take that out and your good to go. Will visit again. Hopefully will feel comfortable enough to eat in one day. They did provide a bib, gloves and wipes which were convenient and made me feel like the price was worth it. Update 3/20/22: this is my 4th time here. Crab boil with just crab legs, make sure you get extra sauce on the side garlic and house sauce. It's so good you want to put it on everything.
Good food, our waitress was phenomenal. Restaurant was super clean. Nice menu…. Some kind of weird American/Cajun/Asian Fusion, but it WORKS… so really something for everyone!! Everything was reasonably priced as well.
Five stars for sure! Came here for lunch with a dear friend, we hadn't seen each other in over a year. First, I noticed how clean it was and how clean it smelled. That's huge with me. Second, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I asked for fresh coffee and our server gladly made a fresh pot and the coffee was so good, I asked for a second cup. The service was great and the food was delicious! I ordered the Seafood Fried Noodles and my friend ordered the Crabcake Basket. My dish had ample shrimp and scallops, and the noodles and veggies were all well balanced and fresh, with no overwhelming seasonings. My friend's crabcakes were meaty with crab and light with filler and seasoning. She said they were absolutely delicious. We both agreed that we'll definitely be back again soon.
Went here for lunch with a friend about 2 pm on a Thursday. Not crowded at all, we were seated and received our beverages quickly. We ordered the fried oysters and gator bites as appetizers, which took about 10 minutes. The gator bites were nice and golden brown and tasty but the oysters were fried too hard and boarders on the verge of being burnt. That was a disappointment. We both ordered the Mongolian Beef Stir Fried Noodles. It was very good, the meat was tender, noodles had that little chew that I love and the sauce tied it all together. I would eat this dish over and over again. Why then only three stars? Well, I came here some months ago to have lunch with my son in honor of his birthday. I ordered the Seafood Noodles and I asked the server if the crab in the noodles was real crab or imitation crab. She assured my that it was real crab. She lied. It was real imitation crab and I started to send it back because the girl wasn't truthful but I didn't want to ruin the meal so I picked it out. Needless to say that that incident left me feeling some type of way. That is why there's only three stars. Would I go back again? Probably but it's not my first choice.
We had a perfect night with the crew behind the bar, CJ was knowledgeable, funny, and prompt. My Husband and I woke up this morning happy that we spent our Anniversary at Pier 17!Thanks guys for the edable straws! Our kids loved them!If you're looking for delicious food & great drinks, this is the spot!
The alligator bites and oyster seafood boil were delicious.
My experience was bad. I had a bad server his name is pronounced E. He was not patient and he was rude towards the dinner party. He did not wear a face mask. Him not wearing a face mask would not have been a problem if he didn’t pick and wipe his nose with his hands before handling our food. My sweet potatoes fries had a hair fried into it meaning there is a cook that doesn’t wear a hair net.
Amazing boil bags & the staff are always nice! The crab legs & crayfish are my favorite. If you want good seafood or noodles this is the place to go in EC!
