The staff Antionette King and Linda and rest of the staff went above and beyond today when picking up food for NISSAN of Elizabeth City in the middle of a downpour and helped to keep my shoes from getting ruined and my wig from getting soaked ??? they rock!!!!! Thank you guys!!!
Kathy's is an EXCELLENT place to pick up lunch and supper. Her menu really is diverse. She even has meals for Keto diets!!! The desserts are heavenly!!! Check her out! You won't be displeased!

Always delicious! Great staff and wonderful selection of foods and desserts! Grab and GoCase is always well stocked, both with lunch and dinner selections. The best Chicken Salad!! The Grilled Chicken over Half & Half has always been my favorite and my go to order. The Quiche are wonderful! But I must say, those Ham Sweet Potato Biscuits are a must have. I never pass them up!
Absolutely LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I always get the mini quiches for easy breakfasts. The coconut creme pie is my absolute favorite. The chicken salad is phenomenal. Everything I get I like usually! Highly recommend.
The food was okay. I had a chef salad and a slice of cake. The salad had a small amount of toppings and more lettuce. Normally I can make two meals out of a large salad. This was not the case. The cake was dry and the buttercream frosting was tastless. Maybe it's the current pandemic or maybe because I had high hopes for this place. I'll probably will not go back.
I regret having to post this poor review because this establishment has been one of our favorites in Elizabeth City. We have gone there often to purchase either a whole pineapple cake for gatherings of family and guests, and we stop in way too often to enjoy a single slice of the same to have with our coffee. But something is happening there that has happened at too many places around the country lately. We now get far less at what works out to be a much higher price. We’ve been loyal customers and have recommended Kathleen’s at every opportunity. Although we are normally cost conscious, we would have been quite satisfied to pay extra to help cover rising costs. However, please don’t drastically reduce the usual serving size to minimize costs and/or maximize profits. Kathleen’s pineapple cake is still a delight, but we won’t bother to stop in again for what has become a sliver of cake.
