Terrible food and drinks, service is good and the spot is very cute to hang. We thought it’s quite affordable when we ordered but honestly nothing was worth it, I’d rather eat at a grocery store than this. The drinks were super sweet and had no flavor and the rice balls (actually triangles) were dry and didn’t taste that flavorful either. The yakisoba noodles had barely any meat in it, no veggies and for 10$ definitely not worth it, I had to repurpose the drinks and noodles at home to make it more palatable and avoid wasting money entirely.

YaYa is one of the best teahouses in Durham. They have delicious tea and great toppings. Their food is absolutely amazing. I love the onigiri and spring rolls the best. They have several food options for most diets. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a small section of merchandise and Asian snacks which is pretty cool as well.

Great flavor service family friendly

I like this place a lot. Chill atmosphere in what seems to be an office complex. Bubble/milk teas with some Japanese food. The rice balls are good but my one issue is that if you get a large one it seems to have the same amount of filling as the small so I'd suggest ordering two small ones instead of a large unless you just want extra rice.

Authentic bubble tea made with actual tea, NOT powder. Has authentic add ins as well, such as herbal jelly!Lots of tea options if you prefer a hot or iced tea to go. Very Instagram worthy interior and friendly staff.Highly recommend, tastes like it came from Taiwan!

Please please keep these guys in business!!! They have wonderful teas and onigiri, as well as a tasty menu of traditional Japanese dishes. I haven't seen it on the menu lately but their Japanese curry was such a comfort food for me. I also love all the cute merch and characters. Sometimes I go during a bad day at work and the ambiance and cute packaging always makes me smile. Please go support them and keep this little gem in business!

So excited to see ongiri being offered in Durham. I’ve tried the salmon, chicken, pork belly, and spam. Would order any of those again and a great size for a quick lunch. Also my first time trying milk tea and boba - should’ve ask for less sugar but that’s my bad. Still a delightful new treat.

By far the best boba tea place I’ve gone ? I’ve gone to several places whenever I’m at for work and this place is soo good! It was my first time trying the Japanese riceball ? and it was amazing ? The customer service is good, my order was ready in a few minutes, the place is nice and quiet, and there’s enough parking! If you can’t tell.. I fell in love and really recommend it ?

The fruit teas are very good! I got the sunrise and it was delicious. They have a wide selection of boba options too! The onigiri was also tasty, and the smalls are large. Yes service is a little slow but they’re making onigiri and tea, so I feel like that’s expected. Everywhere is understaffed right now, you just have to be understanding. The place is adorable too, very cute interior.

Very mediocre. Ordered a gyudon, takoyaki, rice ball, and fruit tea. The server didn’t put in my order for the gyudon, the takoyaki was good but small. The riceball had no flavor, I ordered salmon but I can’t tell if the order was messed up or it was just too bland to taste it. I asked for a mango fruit tea with less ice and it came out with no ice and just tasted watered down. I was really looking forward to it but the experience was very sloppy and left me disappointed :(
