Our experience was beautiful and artfully guided. Chef Yamazushi's eight course menu was skillfully designed, beautifully prepared and delicious. *Also as a bonus, the assorted pottery made by chef was a treat. Yamazushi lives up to its reputation as the most authentic Japanese cuisine in the Triangle.
The atmosphere here is calming and beautiful. The food was absolutely wonderful and we all left feeling relaxed and like we'd had a spa day.
BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! The food was expertly prepared, the plating was methodical and beautiful, and the hosts were kind and thoughtful. We have all of the courses, and a wonderful dessert that the chef starting making nearly 10 hours in advance of our reservation! We finished off the meal with some earthy and smooth matcha, and then left feeling very satisfied. My family and I had a wonderful time and can't wait to return. Thank you Yamazushi!
I have eaten all over the globe and was absolutely delighted to find this hidden gem very close to me. It's the best food I've ever had. The staff is so kind, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. This is a traditional style keiseki and the whole dinner takes around 3 utterly blissful hours. We left feeling full, happy, and peaceful. This is a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Yamazushi!
Very high ratings for communication, customer service, and quality. From the second you enter the restaurant you feel as tho you are halfway around the world. You get lost in the food/decor. Every dish served was visually appealing, fresh, and tasty. This is a once in a lifetime experience and would recommend it. It is more of an experience than anything else.Be prepared for a long wait to get a reservation and for smaller portions than most are accustomed to. The price is also high, but it's not a place you will eat at often and the experience is worth it.
One of the most interesting and unique dining experiences we've ever had. One of the most expensive as well, but considering they only seat 2 tables a night, it's not unreasonable. We loved that the chef made all of the dishware we ate off of. And his wife provided incredible service. Not something we can afford to do regularly but we'd love to try it again sometime.
What an experience! They are so nice and put so much thought into the process. The chef made all the plates (and I suspect lots of the decor too). You get to have a variety of Japanese food. The flavors are so delicate. Def worth the wait and is a gem!
Fabulous meal in an environment crafted to be thoughtful and intentional down to the very last detail. What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday.
Just wonderful. I’ve been to several kaiseki restaurants in NYC and Tokyo and this one compares favorably. The wagashi was maybe the best I’ve tasted. Go for the sake pairing, it’s worth it. Service is impeccable. Wonderful NC treasure.
Wonderful experience and fantastic food. Everything was fresh with since parts even coming from the chef's garden.
