I would like to start off and say the food is absolutely amazing. Everything on the menu. But the owner is a bit much. I noticed he gives any young attractive woman odd compliments. I’ve heard him say things to his female employees as well. I was sitting down eating and he was bringing my food out to me and goes “ would you like anything else? Silverware, ranch, a back rub?” I uncomfortably laughed and just shrugged it off. He’s a bigger Caucasian man so I let it go. Then tells me “ We have the best ranch in the world but you know what else? The cutest owner!” If you are a woman ( especially younger ) do not go in here alone please! As for the service from his employees? Always excellent. Hopefully this review will make his reconsider the inappropriate things he says!
This place is awesome! Not only was the service beyond 5 stars, the food was delicious. Very friendly staff and fresh made food. Will definitely be going back! I ordered the steak out with only meat, cheese, banana peppers and mushrooms! Very flavorful and the bread was just toasty enough!
I ordered carry out yesterday, having never before eaten at Tomato Jake's Pizzeria, but seeing good reviews and pictures that made me think the pizza would be tasty. And it was. We were very pleased with our pizza, calzone, and the wings. BUT, we also ordered a gluten free pizza for my downstairs neighbor who is allergic to gluten, but had issues with this being made properly. The neighbor had called in to confirm the cooking process was GF safe, and then when I ordered, I specified a GF pizza including the meat ingredients be free of gluten. However, when I went to pick up the pizza, I only learned it was made improperly (order entered incorrectly into the system) upon asking for an EXTRA confirmation. The pizza had to be remade properly, and I had an additional 20 minutes wait, while the rest of my food was ready. Had I not checked again myself, the pizza I would have brought to my neighbor would have made him very ill. This is not okay, and I am writing because staff/management need to be more careful as people who are gluten intolerant may become very ill from this kind of careless mistake. The server was more than apologetic, gave me the wrong pizza for free, and a free dessert. I am very appreciative of that, thank you. I think customers need to also be aware to double check orders if they have allergies. Second, I would request that Tomato Jake's please label the box when they give a GF pizza. Even after remaking the pizza, I found myself walking to the car not knowing from the boxes which one was GF and which was the normal pizza. Again, the pizza was great, particularly the crust, and we will be returning customers. I just ask again that you take more consideration please with those special orders to protect the health of your customers with dietary restrictions. Thank you!
I took my beautiful wife to this place for lunch and it was delicious. She had the porky calzone and I had the stakeout sub and a size of pepperoni pizza. Very good food and great pricess.
I enjoyed a steak and cheese sub, along with mild wings!
We participated in the 2nd Chef’s Table dinner at Tomato Jake’s last night and it was a fabulous experience! The food was amazing and all homemade by the owner and host extraordinaire, Glen Gordon. 4 courses: 1.gorgeous/delicious charcuterie board, 2.tomato/mozzarella caprese salad, 3.lemon/parmesan chicken with vegetables, and 4.tiramisu with strawberries & whipped cream! Every bite was incredible & perfectly paired with a different wine for each course. Highly recommend signing up for the next one! You pick the cuisine, Glen picks the menu. Great fun for a few couples, girls night out, or just a night out!
Good solid pizza. Enjoyable after a long day.Very week garlic knots, though. So little flavor & so dry you may as well call em bread knots.
