The Durham is a great place to hold a wedding!!! The room was on the top floor patio area where the rooftop bar is located. The staff is fantastic and very friendly! It is nice to see that excellence in customer experience and service is the norm at The Durham!! I recommend the breakfast brunch on Sunday. Tasty and delicious!!! If you are seeking a weekend to get away from your routine I wholeheartedly recommend The Durham Hotel!!
Nice hotel with high quality rooms, good food, etc. I called to order room service the first night. I asked how long it would be and was told, "no more than 45 minutes" by the staff member. I called after 45 minutes and heard that my order had been misplaced. It took a total of 1.5 hours to arrive. The staff member told me it wasn't his fault.
The roof top experience was amazing - I Strongly recommend the oyster and the Greek yogurt parfait for breakfast in the morning. The evening music was a whole vibe. Servers were excellent. Drinks!!!!!
Stayed for work event - clean, friendly, safe and visually interesting. All the food and drinks were elevated and really good. The robes were a nice touch and I enjoyed my stay. Would definitely go back when in Durham.
Excellent staff, clean room, freshly ground coffee delivered in the morning, rooftop bar with great view of Durham. There are fancier hotels in this city (JB Duke, etc.) but would recommend The Durham over them for the premier location and quintessential Durham vibes!
Really not our "style, " but very nice and has a fun vibe. Might not have picked it out had we just looked up all options on-line, but it was strongly recommended by local family members, so we booked it on their recommendation . . . and we are happy that we did! Most importantly, the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of, (especially 'Peacock, ') and the location is GREAT.
The Durham is a nice hotel convenient for walking downtown and DPAC shows. Lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant wasn't open so we went to the Copa, a Cuban restaurant. The hotel's rooftop bar draws a nice crowd. Breakfast was good. Valet parking is pretty necessary. Bed was comfortable.
Had a quick stay at The Durham but loved every minute of it! Went to The Roof and had a great dessert board and drinks, also loved having brunch at The Restaurant - order the shrimp and grits! If you happen to be there on a morning that they are having Rooftop Yoga, do yourself a favor and go!
My son and daughter-in-law were married this weekend in Durham at Bay 7 and most of the quests stayed at The Durham. Truly a great experience. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfy, the rooftop bar a fun experience (delicious cocktails) and the staff top-notch. So helpful and warm. This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you definitely won't be let down.The roof event space was great. The food was perfect and they could add walls against rain or wind if needed. Staff was top-notch
