Love their curly fries, the veggie burger has a nice crispy chew and their topping situations are really yummy!
A cute little family owns and runs this place. The burgers are really good and so are the curly fries. If you want some really good comfort food stop by for breakfast or lunch.

The spirit of Wimpys lives on but different. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was hot. On it's face this is a solid spot. I would go back. It was nice to have a homestyle burger and hot dog. The issue I had was they charge for toppings. I'm used to paying for chili and slaw on a burger but not for a hot dog. My hot dog was $3.25 but once I paid for chili, slaw and onions it was more. Same for my hamburger. I had to pay for onions, lettuce, etc. I wanted to like the curly fries but it tasted like they were fried in old oil. I couldn't finish them.I'm struggling with how I would rate the value here. The bacon cheeseburger with toppings, hot dog with toppings, fries and the 20oz drink cost $19. That feels a bit overpricedfor a burger in eating on a picnic table or in my car. I know food prices are up so I know that's a contributor but I don't know if I can justify a regular trip here. If I'm in the area and I want a burger I'll come back but I likely won't go out of my way to get here.
We had the burgers, and they were delicious! Very friendly family run place, and glad they were open on Saturday! Great place! We'll be back!
When you think of a burger, this is what you want, and this is what you get. The bun--toasted to an unctuous and chewy texture on the inside, while still being soft and fluffy on the outside. The burger-- charred and seared on the outside, locking in a juicy and tender prize inside. The cheese-- a burgers best friend, the unassuming American. The fixins (I got lettuce, tomato, and onion) -- all crisp and fresh, perfectly balancing out the meaty, cheesy, ooey--gooeyness. Eating at The Durham Filling Station conjures up sentiments early childhood's first bites of a burger on a lawn while enjoying a warm afternoon amongst the company of your best friends and family. Don't miss out on this culinary experience.
We stopped in after our university tour and glad we did. The service was very friendly. The lady who took our order as well as the cook, who walked out with a friendly greeting as we were finishing and giving us each some cake. The brownie was very tasty and the coffee cake was delish! The burgers were great and so were the curly fries and onion rings. I highly recommend!

Breakfast and burgers essentially. Very tasty options. They also have things you won't find many places like instead if fries, you can get a side of fat back. If you have no idea what that is, we'll, you're missing out.
