The service wasn’t good, the girl at the desk yesterday indicated that she would call the number that she wrote on the tray- we waited for like 30 minutes, due to the long wait and no call, I got concerned and went in there to get our food and it was just sitting on the little table when I get back in the car the entrees were luke warm. The food quality is cheap, and the prices are unfitting for the taste of the food . The establishment has like 3 different addresses posted all about- we spent quite a while trying to find the right address. I was also confused as to why it is it labeled a black owned business- when there are a bunch of white girls and middle eastern men working? The vibe of the restaurant was giving very much cultural appropriation- the location, the music, the non black POC “acting” black. overcharging for the mid quality food, the promoting of cultural appropriation- and the establishment not being customer service oriented. I hope This first and final time I gave my money to someone who resembles me and not someone claiming that they are black owned to prey off of the culture.
I feel like this place is overrated, it used to be better. I ordered something that I saw on an Instagram post from @thedankery919 that I thought was pretty straightforward considering it was a name they made themselves. “Shrimp Queso fries”. I wait 30 minutes for a shrimp burger with lettuce and queso and naked fries. I am highly disappointed with my meal tonight, luckily the shrimp was good but the overall experience and result here was terrible and unfortunately I will not come here again.
I came today at 6:09PM 7/122 I first discovered this place on TikTok video going over black owned businesses but confusingly when I enter the dankery their was no sign of no black workers but the one guy selling the cakes, the ordering system is to unorganized for low quality food the prices is high and on top of that is it a bar or a restaurant because the only thing that stands out is the bar but on the other hand the guy who was selling the cheesecake they were amazing your product is a 10/10

Food is well crafted but you can tell the ingredients used are cheap. Staff is quite unprofessional as well. I went their with my boyfriend and one of the girls took his phone number off of the box they write it on. Not that big of a problem but still very childish

Came here last night 12/11/21 with a friend to try it out. I’ve been here before and had a great first experience. But unfortunately on last night i am unsure who had control of the SALT but…..?? it was just to much. We really wanted our money back but didn’t want to ask.Yes the music was loud. I can’t figure out why it sounds like a club inside but I have seen plenty of reviews saying the same thing. I was so hype this place at first we drove 1 hour to try it . It was difficult finding it due too three different addresses online. Once we finally found the restaurant we notice that all the tables were taking outside and the one that was Available was very dirty so we decided to eat in. Once we got into the restaurant the music WAS BLASTING like in a club loud, very little COVID safety guidelines but we were given mask at the door. We ordered our food and we received the wrong order. The boy running the cash register obviously did not hear us correctly and I can understand why because it was so loud plus we had on mask. The only time they turned the music down is when I went to the counter to make a complaint to get my order corrected. So apparently the music is too loud. They did correct my order after me denying to pay for my missing sub, all the food was hot and fresh once we received. Good food terrible experience . I seen what the hype was about and I’m not impressed.
