The front desk was not only professional, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. My wife was being treated for cancer at Duke during this time, a very stressful time for us. We were offered extra blankets and water making us feel more at home, They followed up to make certain our room met our needs.
Hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. No free breakfast or coffee available. Normal eggs and bacon deal cost 2 people 30 bucks! Grill on site is okay but if there are a lot of people gets overwhelmed quickly. 2 people 70 bucks, which was a little above average on price considering we did have 6 adult beverages between us.
The front desk associates TJ and Adrieanna were amazing. I was so cold and TJ brought me an extra blanket. I forget the engineers name but he was able to get my room to the right temperature. I'm sure when I requested an 80 degree adjustment he must have thought I was wired but he obliged. 72 degrees may be comfortable for most but not me. He fixed resolved the issue and checked back on me in 30 mins to make sure everything was working correctly and he had a SMILE. My room was spacious, clean and did not smell of smoke. I slept in a clean, comfortable bed. Restaurant staff were courteous. A great place to stay.
This hotel is near the highway. Easy in and out access to I85. Near Durham and the airport. Very clean, welcoming and comfy rooms. Great staff. In your room, everything you would need for a nice stay. Will come back again!
Had a minor complication with my reservation. I needed to change room configuration upon arrival based on my workload. TJ at Front Desk quickly resolved! I was grateful for his excellent customer service!
Beautiful hotel, very nice and tasteful decor and seating areas in the lobby and hallway areas. Hardwood (or at least hardwood “look”) floors in lobby and hallways. Room is good sized with very large tv (50+ inches). Very clean and spacious and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Location was good for our stop along the way home further north.
Good location, clean and well-maintained property, friendly and responsive staff. And a good price - what's not to like? The only problem was with the heater stopping after a few hours. The friendly technician promptly came up to flip back the circuit breaker - but it needs to be fixed permanently.
I found a great price on Orbitz for a one-night stay a few days before Christmas when I was in town for a Duke basketball game. Parking was incredibly convenient and free. However, the shower head was loose, and I had to hold it up with my hand to aim it outward during my shower. In addition, while the little shampoo bottle was full, the conditioner bottle was nearly empty. I truly appreciate that housekeeping was trying to reduce waste, but they should check to be sure that hair products are not used. Lastly, there was some white powder (baby powder perhaps) on the floor by the mini fridge. The price was right, and the staff was really nice, so I would stay here again. They should have offered me a small discount for the multiple problems in my room.
We stay here yearly for the Duke basketball games. It close to school and a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and we have never been disappointed staying here. The staff is friendly when we arrived and made our stay enjoyable.
8am. No ones there fresh new day. Doesn't have vanilla or caramel Fraps even though it's on their menu. Nice cashier lady I guess.
