This hotel provides convenient access to Duke, UNC, RDU and other popular places around the Triangle. It's towne centre-like location puts it within walking distance to Duke Health and a number of well-known retailers and restaurants. A special shout-out to Wilmur at the front desk for providing 1st class customer service!! The modern lobby was clean and inviting. Loved the split bathroom layout in our suite. The suite unfortunately had a \\\"musty\\\" smell that somewhat improved after requesting our '3-day stay freshen up'. The staff struggled to set up (maintain) the hot breakfast buffet on time; however the food was tasty. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the area!\\nTip: Parking is shared w/ the other businesses during core hours, so note the posted signs. Daily RV/trailer parking is available in the East end parking area (towards Home Depot).

Decent sleep for a one night work trip. However, the room is extremely cold and even though I turned off the AC it’s still freezing hours later. I can hear people in adjacent rooms using the bathroom and flushing their toilet. Continental breakfast is extremely limited and nothing is labeled. The front desk staff member was rude and unhelpful. Definitely an average to below average experience.

Pros: The beds are comfortable and the rooms are updated. The person at the front desk was accommodating when we had issues with our room. Restaurants are nearby.Cons: There was a bug crawling on the curtain. I didn't ger to aee exactly ehat kind it was bc i panicked and hit the curtain, causing the bug to fall. It was small and black. The pullout bed was dirty and there were crumbs in it and on the floor underneath it. When the person who was supposed to tend to it came up to "rectify", we were given a vacuum and told we could use to get the crumbs. Excuse me, what???..no thank you. We're not paying to stay there and clean up what shouldn't have been there in the first place. The guy at the front desk did allow us to switch rooms. The hottub wasn't working and by the second day, they had closed the pool too. That was the main reason for choosing the hotel. Breakfast is pretty miminal, as well.Overall, I'm not sure I'd stay again. There are other hotels I'll consider.

3/3/22 Stay: Exterior of hotel clean. Front Lobby clean. Ample parking on side lots. Front desk agent was ok. Elevator button barely works. You have to press it a few times before it lights up and works to call elevator. I found this out the hard way after standing at the elevator for around 5-10 minutes like a moron pressing the button several times wondering why the elevator wasn't coming. Make sure the button lights up. Might take a few tries. Elevators look like there was a war of the drunks inside or some kid had a severe temper tantrum. Broken buttons and panels galore.\\n\\nReached the second floor to my room 224 which looked like someone had been trying to break in. The door and wall by the door was creased broken and dented from the outside. Not appealing nor a good sign but I'm tired so I go in. Walk in turn on light to room and look towards the couch. Only to see the current tenant running across the couch and under a pillow. I think to myself....\\\"No way....\\\". So I walk over to the sofa move the pillow. Yup.....my reluctant-to-share-his-room ROACH roommate runs again. Clearly he was introverted and wasn't interested in making a formal intro. Neither was I nor did I recall sharing the room rate.\\n\\nWent back down to the lobby and asked for a new room because there was a roach on his couch in his room. I didn't want to impose on him. No apology nor offer for any type of compensation. Who cares if I stay with Marriott 75+ nights a year. Titanium who? Whatever.....I'm tired. I'm switched to 301. After another struggle with the elevator I go up to my new digs. No damage to the door so that's good. Turned on the lights, check sofa, check table, check bed. Ok this one seems ok. Showered and went to bed although kept having that creepy crawly feeling on my skin. Slept ok though. Just happy to check out. Never again. Lol. ? I literally have never seen a roach in my room in my 12 years of traveling for work or leisure. Gross. ?

Very well suited to doing college visits in the area. Liked the Studio/suite setup that provides separated shower and toilet (sink with each) and mini fridge and microwave. Walking distance for quick food stops like Five Guys, Duck Donuts and pizza.

More like 4.5 stars . Perfect location! There were a few places within walking distance for lunch or dinner. We were in town for the weekend and this place was nice and quiet. Also, it wasn't far from a shopping mall. When in town again, I would definitely stay here.

Good: quiet room, comfortable bed. I was not interested in the chain restaurants nearby so I went to Carrborro. Stay here instead of [email protected] know, please(the hotel was reasonably priced). After coming to the place we rented and hearing a loud party, this hotel was so quiet. Nice shower too. The room was updated. They only gave us 3 large towels though. We needed one more. I love the lotion they provide, it smells amazing. You can sometimes hear vehicles outside the window, but the bed was comfortable.

This place was the perfect spot for our trip to Durham. The room was spacious and the beds slept great! Staff have all been so nice and helpful. Location was great too. Highly recommend!

The mini fridge didn’t work. The pillows were hard. There were various buttons missing on the elevators. Only 1 ice machine worked in the building. The shower and bathroom was great but that was it.

Location, location, location.! Dinner is only 100 ft away. Extremely close to six restaurants that are walking distance and maybe another 25 places within half a mile. Clean, updated and super friendly staff. Nice gym and a really nice indoor pool and hot tub. Had a blast with the family. Love the Marriott
