I arrived 20 mins before close and the lobby doors were already locked. When The lady inside made eye contact with me, I motioned at her to ask if the drive thru was still open and she turned around to look the other way. Their open sign was on.I then pull to the drive thru speaker and waited 10 mins and no one ever came. But someone was pulled up at the window chatting. Which is unfortunate because I could hear the lady working the window talking to the person in the car, sounded very nice.I understand being short staffed if that’s what’s going on, but there are better ways to handle it and this was done very unprofessionally.Added a photo now with time clock and their open sign off and time stamped before 9pm.

Hands down this is the worst Smoothie King I’ve ever visited, today was my second time at this particular location. I should of known today’s drive through worker obviously came to work to hang out because upon pulling up to the drive through speaker and not getting a response for about 3 or 4 minutes when she did respond it was with an attitude. “Ok not a big deal”(I thought to myself)… after I placed my order crickets…. No total, no thank you for ordering, no pull around, NOTHING! I pulled around and the young lady with the cow print nails told me my total was $6.77, after I gave her my card she asked if I needed a receipt “normal enough” (thinking to myself again). After I received my receipt she closed the windows and I could see the guy who made my smoothie struggling, he was trying to clean around the lid of the cup that was messy because the cup was over filled when he placed the lid on top. I then looked to the young lady at the window who stood with her back to me and texted on her phone. After his attempt to clean the cup didn’t work he gave up and sat my smoothie behind her, after her extremely important text message she proceeded to place the phone to her ear and have a phone conversation….. my smoothie is still messy and sitting behind her. I could only watch in disbelief, when she finally turned to get my smoothie (still on the phone) she moved it to the counter in front of her where it sat longer (because she was still on the phone), then she opened the window and picked up my smoothie. I stopped her and asked her for a new lid…. She closed the window sat my smoothie down in front her and picked the phone back up, I had enough and blew the horn asked for my smoothie and a new lid… “I can change it myself”, the young lady gave me the smoothie and proceeded to throw the lid at me and say “girl take your lid”. I would like to note the lid didn’t make it inside my truck and she also didn’t give me a straw nor any napkins! She was also pretty quick on closing the window, my first reaction was to give her disrespectful attitude a shower in mixed berry smoothie, leading me to believe she’s had some problems before. I sat for a few moments and cleaned off my cup when the owner came to the window and tried to rectify the situation, it was to late after playing with my time and the disrespect I was subject to, I was done! My daughter did enjoy the smoothie with no lid and no straw but that was our last time visiting The Smoothie King in University Dr!

This has got to be the worst location I’ve (attempted) to go to. Tried to go to this place four times now, and only able to get a smoothie once. Today I was told by the drive thru employee that she “is not taking any orders right now.” So I accepted that with some skepticism until I drove around to the front of the store and 4 employees were just sitting in chairs out front hanging out. Don’t waste your time attempting to go here. Go elsewhere in the triangle, I’m sure there are better places that deserve our money.

Absolute disaster. Order an angel food slim. Waited around for 15 minutes. 2 gentleman came in 7-8 minutes after me and got there's before me. I had to tell the workers 3 different times what I ordered like they had no record of it. No apology for the wait. There's a reason this place has 2.5 stars

Literally sitting out here right now, waited at the drive through for about 10 mins, nothing. Come around to park to see 5 lazy a** people standing around not doing a single thing & then just staring while I park. If you don’t wanna work, why be there?

Truly sucks that I have to leave this type a review. Especially because I really like the owner, and respect her very much. However the service here is iffy if she’s not here. I just show up at 8:15 to be told that they stop serving at 8:15 so they can close on time. I worked in a restaurant before, so I’m adamant about not showing up last minute to give the workers more work. They’re stopping 45 minutes ahead of time so that you can leave on time? I doubt that’s the decision of the owner. Just lazy workers

The sign on the front door says "drive thru only!" And another said "pickup orders only inside". I tried the drive through, but no one answered. When I was finally able to get my app order to go through, I went inside and lat them know the drive through speaker wasn't working. They said it was for Door Dash only, but there was no way of knowing it.They said they had a lot of online orders, but all 3 workers weren't making anything. They were just complaining about the back log of orders coming in.Overall, I would skip this location if you can.

Unprofessional staff , I came 3 times all in which I can’t place an order because of technical issue , tho there is no technical issue for sure just a lazy employee decided to take rest for the whole day and ignoring people who take 20 min to reach there , for sure I’m done with smoothie king cuz all I get “it’s technical issue” , closing this branch would be a critical decision , to save the reputation for the brand.

Normally doing the week I get amazing service from the owners...My chocolate slim and trim be amazingggggg...However today on April 24th at 12:49pm is what not amazing services and my smoothie was horrible and at this point the young lady at the window is definitely having a bad day and putting it all on the customer's. When we turned back around to give her back the not chocolate slim and trim ...chocolate and peanut butter I am a teacher snd it don't sound the same..she was highly passed and held her hand out slightly for us to reach to give her thr cup, then pause and tell us to pull around the front. At no time die we present ourselves hostile or irritated...we know bad days happe. We are educators and we undersyand...however this Smooyhie King is in my neighborhood and I want to keep spending money in my neighborhood plus I love the owners they treat me with love and they make me feel like family..so I won't let one bad moment destroy my coins being spent here... attitudes and handling paying g customers with no heart and bad moods can keep money from coming in... thanks

So slow, gave me the wrong drink and everything. worst smoothie king to exist. i was late bc it took them 15 mins to make my smoothie
