I've purchased from here 3 times and I've yet to be disappointed! Two times were on DoorDash, and this most recent time was in person. They offer fresh/ready to serve cupcakes in many flavors, but not so many that it's overwhelming to choose. I also purchased some cake pops. The decor is really speaking appealing too!
I ordered a six pack of the vegan version of the hot fudge sundae cupcake. They were so good! The cake was moist and the frosting was just the right amount of sweetness.I'm personally not vegan so I can't compare them to vegan cupcakes elsewhere, but if I hadn't been the one who bought them I would have just assumed they were one of their non vegan offerings.The cupcakes were large and could definitely be split between two adults. If ordering for young kids I'd recommend ordering mini cupcakes.The online/phone ordering process was easy. I will definitely order more in the future.
I came home to find two cupcakes had been delivered for my birthday today. Unfortunately, they were left on my porch, not wrapped in cellophane, and were COVERED IN ANTS! I called to report the issue and was told there was nothing they could do - no replacements & no credit either. I'll never know if their cupcakes are good because, after this, I'll never be a customer! ?
Went to this establishment because I’ve always wanted to try they cupcakes but the only thing about this that was positive about this experience was it did smell good as it is a baking shop so you’ll get the smell but that’s where everything positive ends… the young lady seemed as if I was getting on her nerves asking questions (I’m a first time customer) so she is very short with answers to my questions so in all I’m saying this if the prices is high which this cake shop isn’t cheap I’m just like the money customers spend should be met with a pleasant attitude from the employees but I was told it was African American owned which is great I love supporting black owned businesses but this one here “IT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TRIP”DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!
We visited this shop a little after 1pm today, intending to order a dozen cupcakes. There was one customer ahead of us, picking up a cake order. The employee brought the cake out, packaged it up, took their payment. No problem, that customer left and the employee disappeared to the back of the store. No acknowledgement of us standing there. About 2-3 minutes later the same employee came back out, typed something into the touchscreen point-of-sale, and then disappeared into the back of the store AGAIN without ever acknowledging us. We waited another 2-3 minutes, during which time we heard at least 3 different voices in the back of the store chatting and laughing. We left after this disappointing experience and will not be back.
My birthday cupcakes were left on my front porch and I came home to find them COVERED IN ANTS. When I called to tell them about the problem, they were not willing to replace them or to provide a credit! I will never know if they have a good product because after this treatment, I will never shop there! ?
I went in to order some cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday party. The black girl in the front seemed to be disengaged and uninterested in helping. She didn’t even bother to explain the prices or how it works. She was on her phone, super rude and made me feel like I was bothering her. When I asked her a question, it was just one word answer and rolling eyes. So I asked if I came in at the wrong time. Then she seemed to be a little bit more aware of her behavior but she was still very unhappy to help. I was going to order my cake here but wasn’t in a mood to spend $100 at a spot that made me feel this way. I understand it is hard to find good workers right now but please do not put a staff like that in the front of your store. The girl that was working in the back was super friendly and happy to help. Stopped by to ruin my afternoon for nothing.
Placed an order with small cakes Durham. Was never asked for payment, so planned to pay in person. They didn’t have our order, whipped up some pathetic excuses for a cupcake, and passed it off as our order. Cupcakes were entirely melted and the icing, which was all over the box, was cheap. They refused to refund the money we paid and hung up on us multiple times. A pathetic excuse for a bakery with pathetic customer service. The one and only time we will use this establishment.
My daughter ordered her graduation/birthday cake and cupcakes from here. The customer service was horrible. The cake was cracked, very dense and hard to cut even with a butcher knife. The icing on the cupcakes wasn’t the correct shade of blue it was darker. Went to pick up my order at 3:25 pm and was told it wasn’t ready to be come back at the pick up time which was 4:00 pm. Went back an hour later to be told it still wasn’t ready. The young lady was nasty and rude like we were wrong for expecting the order to be ready. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told there wasn’t anyone I could speak to. They wouldn’t even get someone on the phone they told me to send an email.
