Indian Buffet

I love Indian food and have been wanting to try this place for the longest! My friend recently treated me to dinner here, and I loved it! He got food from their buffet, which I didn't feel comfortable with given that we're still in a pandemic so I opted to order from the menu. I've also never really been fond of buffets. I ordered the fish malabar, which was SPECTACULAR! It was a lot of food so I only ate half of it and finished the rest the next day for lunch. They have many options to choose from, and you can always stick with what they have at the buffet. My friend really liked it. This is the perfect place for a date night or to enjoy quality time with friends. They have ample parking, a nice view from the window where we sat, and they sometimes have live music, which we will likely go back for. The staff were kind, and their food is reasonably-priced. This is the best Indian food I've had in the Triangle area so I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it!

I've lived in a number of cities over the years and I've traveled to every State but Alaska and I feel I have a good range of experiences with restaurants, Indian included.I've enjoyed a bunch of Indian restaurants in the Triangle yet they all must be compared to Sitar for them to make the grade. I've set the bar at Sitar which is a great designation in my book.I'd say Sitar always allows me to explore new dishes and set new standards. My suggestion: Test out Sitar and make a list of what you like. Then try those same dishes at other restaurants. See who wins! For me, in nearly every case, it's Sitar for the win.

NOT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD!!!! I went here for the buffet twice. Both times, the food barely had any flavor and all of the curries tasted the same. The food WAS NOT fresh. The vibe of this place is dingy and dark. I lived in India for two years and know the real taste of Indian food. Of course if anyone wants bland "Americanized" Indian food, you can come here. IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

Always love coming here when we’re in town. Came on a Wednesday for lunch. $13.95 adult, $8 for 8 yr old and $7 for 5 yr old. Didn’t ask ages. My kids are tall. Service was friendly and food good. Could use a little more spice but they generally have the same thing every time we’re here and very mild so kids enjoy

The luncheon buffet was delicious and their quality is remarkable. The management & staff were most accommodating & quite lovely. Sitar has now become a favorite. They also have a lovely cocktail area.

The people are very kind and if you've never been before they will guide you in what you can eat and explain everything for you..as for myself I let them pick the style of the meats I chose for me and my daughter, and it was delicious. First impression was a great one. Loved the food flavors and color's. And the kindness of the people waitress and Manger that helped me choose what to eat. All in all I would definitely recommend this place. And buffet is on weekends. I believe Friday Saturday and Sunday better prices during that time.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Raleigh/Durham area and were looking for a restaurant to make our regular and we found it. This place is AWESOME! Tasty food, friendly and professional staff, great atmosphere and they have a buffet. We ordered both to go and tried the buffet, and both were delicious. I really like their dosa, tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala. The buffet was fresh and had many choices. I definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be back again soon!

It always tastes wonderful, but it would be great if they would actually offer a hot version. I have to use a bag of Indian chili powder to make it beyond mild. Some other Indian restaurants offer an actual Hot and an Indian Hot version. The Hot version from Sitar is slightly above mild at best.Flavor is great, spice level is terrible

They have an open buffet for the moment

When we were craving Indian food, Sitar did not disappoint. We had the appetizer sampler, garlic, and Chicken Tikka naan to start and were very happy with our choices. The Beef Vindaloo was not as spicy as we had hoped, we ordered medium but the Chicken Malabar was delicious. The staff were attentive and courteous. We'll be going back for more soon!
