The staff are always super helpful and friendly. You'd be hard pressed to find a better selection of beer anywhere.
Great selection! Like a mouse in a cheese shop! I love that you can also grab a quick half pint and chill out for a bit and get your beers for home.
Large take home selection. Can do mix and match with different beers and ciders. They have drinks on tap up and downstairs.
The title says is all. Being stuck at the intersection of 54 and Hope Valley Rd sucks, but it's still worth sitting on the 2nd floor porch with one of their tap beers. Selection is amazing. I still mourn the demise of Sam's Quik Shop on Erwin Rd (now apartments for the high end of Duke students) but a hajj down to Sam's is worth it.
Neat place! They’ve got beers on tap and seating upstairs. I only dropped into to pick something up to take home. Staff seem to know their products well. The gentleman working helped me pick out a delicious bottle of rośe. This is where I’ll be purchasing my wine and beer from now on
Love how dog friendly the shop is, especially the patio. Great beer selection both for purchase and on tap.
Great place to go if you're searching for fun gifts (beer gifts) for the adventurous types. Worth sitting down and having one yourself!
Great selección of beer, some wine and 28 different tap beers.
Solid beer shop. They normally have a great variety of beers to choose from for this area, though a bit pricey for some. Wonderful customer service and cool place to hangout on the second floor patio.
Friendly knowledgeable staff with a small bar upstairs and a rooftop patio. The selection is god-like. For example, I'm from Minnesota and one of my favorite breweries is Surly, famous in the Twin Cities. However, MN laws make it hard to sell your beer across state lines, with surly only being widely available in a few neighboring states. THESE MAD MEN CARRY IT. I had to ask how they got it, and they just told me one of their vendors has a small selection. I almost cried cracking open that Axe Man IPA. (It's a very happy and fruity IPA, can't recommend it enough if that's up your alley, and I'd be astonished to find it elsewhere in NC)Even if your just in the area and looking for a relaxing place to have a brew, their rooftop patio is a great place to do so. Some seating for 2 or 3 people, and picnic tables for larger groups. They've even got dog bowls for your four legged friends (but if your dog is more bull than dog you may want to think twice, have to pass through their downstairs sales floor with many a glass bottle that could be knocked over.)
