One star for major inconsistency. Sometimes it's perfect, but sometimes it's overcooked and cold. Another issue is the "Cheerwine" donuts. I learned after two bites that it's not like the Krispy Kreme version that's made with real Cheerwine, it's just cherry icing on a plain donut with a cherry in the middle. I'm not sure if "Robby Birdsong" gets paid to post his reviews, but what he's saying is mostly not true if you're a regular.

Recommended to us by many folks, finally gave it a try. This review is for the south point location. If you’ve never been, the store front is very tiny. Everything is ordered either through a kiosk or you scan the QR code and place your order online. I love this business model as you don’t feel like you have to rush for the people in line behind you. We actually placed our order online while standing in line for the kiosk (we’re newbs, def faster to order ahead of time). On a Sunday morning it took about 10 minutes from order to pickup, with lots of people taking their orders to go. I had the sausage blueberry biscuit and a chocolate frosted donut. I was totally oblivious and did not realize that the blueberry biscuit is glazed/frosted. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but it was overkill for me with a donut on the side. The donuts are alright; my donut was both glazed with chocolate frosting on top of the glaze. My partner had the Nashville chicken biscuit; he said it was decent. He also got the glazed blueberry biscuit on the side. So my takeaways: we will def eat here again; great way to get sweet and savory breakfast together; don’t come here if you want healthy breakfast.

I've been eating here since they first opened. It just keeps getting better. Their ability to serve a tremendous amount of people at once is mind-blowing. Right up there with Chick-fil-A if not faster. And omg that bacon, egg and cheese is the bomb.

Always fresh and never a long wait! Also the staff are very friendly.

I’ve been coming here since it was their only singular flagship store, almost a decade ago, before people knew how cool Durham was. I still order often. The pimento cheese is bomb, chicken is crispy and flavorful. Cheddar biscuits are great. Tots are amazing with the boom boom sauce. The menu and structure has changed quite a bit over the years due to them expanding and then becoming a franchise, but it’s still my reliable go to when I want to pickup breakfast.

Food quality was... Sad... Was told by friends when I Moved here about this place. Theyve given me updates and looked into it with no food providers, new management, and clear issues with cost-cutting for qualitys sake.Do better.

OMG! I thought this place would be overhyped by my friends who had recently moved down to Chapel Hill and I'm so happy to say that it was not. We ordered online in advance because this place is, rightfully, busy nearly every morning. Picking up the order is a bit unique because you go in and open up a locker that has your order in it; it's heated and keeps the food warm.I had the Nashville Hot Chicken and it was PHENOMENAL! The chicken was so juicy and cooked perfectly, the biscuit was incredible and the sauce was very spicy. My friend who always gets the buffalo chicken said the Nashville Hot was much spicier so order whichever of the two you think your palate can handle. My mouth is watering just thinking of this sandwich. Order here and you won't be disappointed.

The new self order station is very hard to navigate. They don't offer the cheddar biscuit upgrade for some of their options. If you want to customize your biscuit you have to order stuff on the side and add it to your biscuit yourself. The build a biscuit ends up being 3 or 4 dollars more if you try to build the one you want instead of ordering extra sides to add to an existing biscuitThey also don't do any of their biscuit or donut specials anymore, which was part of the reason I started coming here years ago.The staff was very nice and helpful, but this place isn't what it used to be. Generally not worth the money anymore.$25 for two biscuits and 2 sides. And I have to build mine myself.Very frustrating experience. Won't be coming back any time soon.

Biscuit was good but because of COVID this more of a order online & pick up kind of experience.
