Was in Durham, NC for a wedding and was blown away that there’s a dedicated biscuit food shop. Love how fluffy those biscuits are, and the variety of options is really wide.My biggest regret is not going here on my first day; I’d be going there for breakfast every morning, and maybe lunch too ?
How can you not love this place. Prior to talking about food just the ease of ordering from the online ordering to the pad inside is smooth and easy and the order pick up just simply can’t get any easier. Folks, from the Righteous Chicken Biscuit to the Avocado Toast Biscuit onto building your own in any sweet to spicy combination you can imagine this is the place for an amazing biscuit and a cup of coffee for a fast pick up or for a sit in the park. Definitely glad to have this classic place in the downtown Durham area.
Usually decent food. Last time I went and there was a large piece of packaging plastic fried into my chicken breast. Never going again!!!
Amazing food, as always. Packaged effectively for delivery. The build your own biscuit with pimento cheese, egg whites, and tomato is the perfect balance of filling but not over filling!
Simple menu with good food. You have to get there early if you want a donut; they sell out quick. The biscuits are soft and flaky and make for a wonderful breakfast sandwich.
Best biscuits ever. From anywhere. So many choices. And they also have donuts. Carb heaven.
so so so good. the blueberry biscuits are fire and so are the tater tots. i looove this place.
We got the cheerwine donut (excellent! and pictured here), the glazed blueberry biscuit (yes!), and the southern chicken sandwich. The sandwich was delicious with pimento cheese. I think we would have liked the sandwich to be a touch spicier, but it was savory and butter and a great mix of flavors.
I've often ordered curbside pickup from Rise, but this was my first time going inside at this location. I hadn't realized they'd completely dispensed with counter service! This is not a bad thing, just clarifying for expectations. You order on a touch screen - hand sanitizer is provided - and your order sits in a rather futuristic heating unit at the front till you're ready to grab it. You can also order over the app. There's no dining inside or any seating, but you can sit outside on a cute green bench while you wait. I had a fried green tomato biscuit (comes with pimento cheese), which was delicious, as well as one to go, and it's good value for the money. Personally, I find the donuts here mediocre - go to Monuts! - but the biscuits are great. The music could be turned down a bit though - it was too loud to wait inside, since the sound overwhelmed my baby.
This place is one of my favorite spots…. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried almost everything on their menu but It’s always the classic buttermilk biscuit for me.
