Amazing food, the pomegranate stew was my favorite & my girlfriend loved the smoked eggplant. Both come with spiced rices, with the tadig crust. Delicious!

Absolutely lovely. You'll be wowed by all of the beautiful pastries, but do try the pomegranate stew (fesenjoon) if it's being served.

I remember the first time I looked at this restaurant on Google, and I was so confused. How can they only be open three days a week for three hours at a time? Are they really this good? The answer is YES.If you’re looking for food with a ton of flavor, vegetarian/vegan options, and the sweetest owner to chat with while you’re in there, you came to the right place. They have a few tables outside for outdoor seating, and as stated above, they are only open from 11-2 (as of 4/2022). It is the perfect spot for lunch if you’re looking for something healthy and extremely flavorful.A wouldn’t miss in my opinion!

Genius and delicious food! You can smell the awesomeness from outside of this kitchen. Definitely will drive back and buy this food again

Food is wonderful and owner is so friendly and hospitable. Pomegranate Kitchen is a Durham gem. Great gluten free, omnivore and vegan choices.

I went here for the first time today and the owner/chef, Mally, was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. She cooks authentic Persian food and everything I had was absolutely delicious- I highly recommend the pomegranate stew! The flavors of everything I had were exquisite. I can't wait to go back and try new items; she has something for everyone here (vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike)

Wow. I like small kitchens but this place is amazing. I am not a vegan but the food here is some of the best around. My meal was cooked to perfection and its that kind of food that just makes you feel good and full of flavor also.

If you want authentic, delicious Persian cuisine, this is it! Reminds me of my grandma's cooking. Only wish Mally was open on the weekends.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from philadelphia and happened to find this gem of a place. Their food is some of the best I've ever had in recent memory. Their flavors are so vibrant with really unique flavors. The owner makes all of her food with her own recipes and fresh ingredients. She's extremely passionate about her food and it shows. We were only in town for 3 days but it was so good that we wanted to return before we left. The pomegranate stew was a highlight - we couldn't believe it was just walnuts, pomegranate, and beans. The chef must be doing something magical in that kitchen. The meatball piroshki was sweet, savory, and so flaky. The hibiscus mojito was tart and refreshing. Sadly, they're only open 3 days a week and dont have a location in Philly - otherwise we would come every day. We will definitely try to visit Durham again just to come here. It was that good!

Persian food at its finest. Home made and delicious. You can taste the love and passion in each bite.
