PokeWorks has always been my go to place since it opened. Recently, I ordered a large bowl and the young lady who prepared it was very rude and unhelpful. She skimped on the sides/toppings including the sauce, literally a small blob for Large Poke bowl. I had to tell her that I’ve been coming for years and she wasn’t being fair. We understand inflation but its not an excuse to charge people more for way less and poorer service.
So disappointed with the delivery service from the restaurant end. This is the 3rd time i order delivery and they mess up my order. My order is always incomplete. And when i call the store, the best thing they could offer me was if i come to the store they could remake it. If i could come in the store, i wouldnt have done delivery. The person on the phone never made it right for me. Extremely disappointed at its customer service. Food is great as long as u dont get it delivered i guess.
I had the fried shrimp teriyaki poke bowl. The staff was helpful and polite. The lettuce was too big in chunks. It could of been chopped or shredded smaller. I felt like a rabbit or a goat chomping down on the lettuce. The fried shrimps tasted like popcorn shrimp. I will go back to try a different type of poke bowl.
I paid $28.50 to have a large poke bowl delivered. I understand it’s much more expensive having it delivered. I love poke I visit Hawaii often I am from California and Florida and lived in Japan. I have enjoyed many poke places. I have recently moved to North Carolina and was desperate to find a poke place that I enjoyed. I was highly highly Disappointed In the quality of fish. I ordered spicy salmon and spicy tuna The salmon was ok however not spicy at all, but the tuna was actually ineible to me. It still had skin and sinew on many of the pieces and it was incredibly fishy. I ended up picking out all the tuna and just throwing it away. I was extremely disappointed in the grade of the fish considering the price almost $20 for a large poke bowl.
I love this Poke Works.. Everyone behind the counter is always so kind and helpful.. I eat here quite often between walking down from work and getting my lunch delivered, and each time it is delicious.. The staff is amazing, the food is amazing.. Poke Works will continue to be a go to lunch spot for me!
Ordered take out to pick up from here while we were in town and it was great. Sauce was amazing. Bit of a pain to find parking close by to pick up but worth it!
My family and I came over yesterday and we were completely blown away by the remarkable food and customer service! As first-timers, everything was spot on. Thank you so much.
I’ve avoided poke for over 2 years because I couldn’t see myself eating anything raw. I went on a lunch date with my cousin & aunt then decided to get salmon and chicken in a poke bowl. BOOOIIIIIII that bowl had so much flavor and great textures ! Shout out to the man who told me to get the Siracusa aioli sauce … you the goat! I recommend getting the salmon lightly torched, it made me feel better lol. I live in raleigh but will definitely be coming to Durham to grab some poke ☺️ Can’t believe I sold myself short for so long
Absolutely delicious with lovely staff and environment ?
First time customer. Told the worker that I couldn’t have anything spicy, specifically selected non-spicy versions of ingredients, and yet the bowl was spicy and burned my mouth.Aside from that, it’s just not very tasty. It’s fine but not good and not something I’d ever come back for. Didn’t seem fresh at all.
