Small, charming shop with tasty ice cream. They have the standard chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry but the real treat are the 10-12 other creative flavors like bourbon truffle. Service was friendly and the Ice cream was very good (one of the better ones I have tried in recent memory). Probably the only drawbacks are that it does only have ~15 flavors and only a few places to sit. But what they do have is exciting to try!
Love this place! Great atmosphere and customer service. We’ve been getting ice cream and birthday cakes there since we moved to Durham. They are so friendly, my 9 year old son looks forward to going in and having a conversation with them every time we go. In addition to that, the ice cream is so yummy! Such a gem in Durham.
I really enjoyed myself. I visited it with a friend. We simply want to ice cream and she was familiar with the area, so she suggested this as the option. I am happy this was our selection. The community was very vibrant in this area. There were many children, tons of diversity, and high traffic which was neat considering that they was a magic store, church, and Mexican ice cream shop on the row together!!!Clearly, the crowd would be diverse in the area! We were able to engage each space that day and we benefited immensely because of it.The mangoNADA was great. We also had ice cream cookies!!! I chose chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream and she had something a bit more risque. The service was amazing. The store was busy. There was not a wait. And I will definitely go back.
Very nice place in Durham to get ice cream and milkshakes and churros and all kinds of treats. Super friendly staff. A must visit if nearby.
Such great ice cream. Hubby had the cappuccino crunch and I had the honey roasted peanut. Absolutely loved it so rich and creamy.

A must for a summer evening!! Went for the first time tonight. The ice cream was amazing and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend! I LOVED the banana pudding ice cream and my husband loved the espresso crunch. I grew up in SF eating Mitchell's Ice Cream which is what I compare all else to. This ice cream definitely contends with those memories. This will be a favorite spot for us
Best I’ve cream I’ve ever had!! We were in town visiting Durham and found Pincho Loco on google maps. Thought we’d stop in and get some ice cream for our kids. They tried the vanilla and cookies and cream and it only took one taste of vanilla to know it was amazing ice cream! Naturally we went back the next day ? Every flavor we tried was excellent. Can’t recommend the cappuccino crunch enough. I wish we lived closer!!
Best ice cream I’ve ever had and that is saying something since I’ve had a lot in my six decades!I got the cappuccino crunch and cotton candy. Certainly is an odd combo although can’t help myself when it comes to cotton candy icecream. Ordered cappuccino crunch after reading the awesome reviews! Can’t wait to go back and try the banana pudding.
