PDQ in Durham is not a good place to eat. I remember when they had the chicken wings, they were always undercooked. I went there recently to give them another try since they removed the chicken wings from their menu. I ordered the chicken nuggets. When I got home and tasted the nuggets they had a weird taste to them. I didn’t finish my meal but my husband did and he got food poisoning. I don’t know if it was old chicken that they gave us but this place needs to be shut down.
The macaroni and cheese is GROSS! The waffle fries tasted like they were fried in OLD oil. My order was wrong, but the young man at the window was pleasant enough. Too expensive for what I received. Won't be going back.
Manager or owner didn't care how we felt we ask if the dine in was closed because of help they said no we trying something new today so I said we can't eat in the dining area because i drove hour to come here he so no and acted like he didn't want to tell us so other was pulling off as well and we did as well. Will not go back we need real managers and owners that care when you have a resturant open for business if they would have said short staff I would have understood but the reason they give cost them customers I'm sure. Ashamed cause the food is good and this place is getting a lot of bad reviews that shouldn't happen. Called Winston Salem they said dine is was open I could understand if it was because they didn't have help but that wasn't the reason but we will be going to Winston Salem if we have to eat here anymoreWatched a few cars drive off good for them.
Staff was very friendly and the grilled chicken was delicious, but the salad base was mostly iceberg lettuce (which was a little disappointing)
I got a late lunch here yesterday and the service was a little slow for nobody being in the restaurant, but overall everything went well. The food tasted great. I got the spicy tenders and the Buffalo Blue dipping sauce. Just the right amount of spicy and the tenders were crisp and juicy
Terrible customer service. We waited in line 10 minutes to finally get to the window at 9:00pm; for the guy to say they closed at 9. He served the person in front of us with no problem, and there was no one behind us, but they refused to take our order and closed the window on us. Will not be returning, would have liked to try the food.
They have pretty good chicken. I like both the spicy and non spicy flavor. If I had to choose which I preferred, it will be the original versus The Spicy. I believe that the pepper overpowers the flavor in the spicy chicken. I believe that the concept behind this restaurant is to be able to compete with Chick-fil-A. I just believe that Chick-fil-A out does this restaurant any day and with any item. However I do like that there is another one out here for us to try. The original chicken is tasty and the time that I've been here it has been fresh. The fries are also good. They have the waffle cut fries just as Chick-fil-A has but Chick-fil-A is better. I do like the chicken tenders they're quite good. The sauces are also okay. But overall a nice restaurant and the location is nice as well. Is very open in the inside. Overall if you're looking for a good chicken bite, tender or sandwich you wouldn't go wrong here.
PDQ is severely under-rated. Their chicken is real chicken meat. Not that pressed together trash that most other fast food places make. No, their sandwiches and tenders are on the level that you would find at a good quality pub or brewery. Also their waffle fries are quite satisfying. And their staff is far freindlier than all other fast food places. It's the only fast place were the employees seem to give darn about their service. My only complaint is that they pulled their pinconte cheese/chicken sandwich off the menu. Which is a real shame.
My kid's and I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is fresh and hot and the milkshakes are delicious
I like PDQ for the value of the combo meal for Duke Employees, the food is of great quality and fast service is a plus. They do their very best to get my order correct.
