I decided to give this place a second chance after a friend got very sick over a year ago when we ate here.I just paid over $24 for some tasteless salsa, and some very disappointing tacos. The fish was not even fully cooked, the calamari was more bread than anything, and the veggies tasted like they have been around for a week or more. This is worse than fast food. And the price is ridiculous.
Great atmosphere, super delicious nachos ( I highly recommend the garlic beef)! Loved Nuvo’s fresh ingredients and relaxed feel. We ordered through an app but the wait staff was still attentive. It’s a super small place so I can see how it’d get crowded quickly, but the food is worth it. I will for sure be back for a milkshake.
The wait for a table was only 20 minutes on a weekend. But we were disappointed that the wait for food was an hour after ordering. It would of been nice if they were seating tables within their kitchen capacity.The food was alright fusion tacos and a solid margarita. I might give it another chance someday.
Jen and her crew prepared a wonderful lunch for the teachers and staff at our elementary school. The selections and portions for catering were generous and tasty. The teachers and staff really enjoyed their delicious meal!
The place is quite cute very clean nice atmosphere. However what makes a good restaurant is the food and they just miss the mark entirely.. Our proteins were dry and bland tortillas were thick and bland the rice reheated and at least a day old and the beans had no flavor. We ordered the taquitos with rice and Pinto beans as well as the Beef quesadilla. We ate less than 10% of the meal. my husband asked for a Box because he felt bad throwing the food out. If you're looking for really good Mexican food I would go up the block to Rosa's. This is just not it. cute concept But definitely a miss with the food.
Grilled shrimp tacos and burrito bowls with arugula. My children adore a Nana’s/Nuvo’s milkshake. The margaritas and chips & fondita are delicious. Awesome curbside service during Covid, swift order fulfillment, easy online ordering. Five stars!
What can I say. This food is amazing. Tacos are unique, tamales are fire, taquitos and nachos are fun, the guac is worth every penny. Seriously great food at an affordable rate.
Adore this place. Best margaritas in the area. Guac and queso are to die for. I love the fish and shrimp tacos myself, but you can’t really go wrong. A regular stop for us whenever we’re in Durham.
All of the staff were super knowledgeable on gluten-free and general questions asked about the menu. As far as flavor goes I thought they were average. The portions were very generous and the service was good. We enjoyed a nice afternoon lunch on the deck. Due to the experience, I would eat here again and hope for flavor improvement.
