Great taste and serviceWe ordered Fajitas and chips they were just greatInterior of the hotel is very nice and has a vintage lookTry mango salsa if you like hot stuff, it’s just great.Outdoor sitting area has nice lights and is peacefulService is quick and waiters are great
My children and I visited here tonight. The food was warm and had a good flavor. The children’s portions were a nice size for their price. I ordered the brisket burrito and for $18, it was good but I wasn’t overly impressed. The service was less than mediocre. Our food came before our drinks because the waiter completely forgot all our drinks (that was after having to ask for them since they came with the kids meals. The only options were diet soda, sprite or ginger ale. We were never offered or brought chips.... what Mexican restaurant doesn’t bring chips? My kids were sorely disappointed as was I. I wouldn’t go back, the food was okay but the service is super lacking .
Wonderful experience- hosted a party at Mez. The GM Jamie , Dining Director April and their team were very professional and took care of all detail - printed personalized drink menu and allowed decoration setup, worked a prescribed menu with us. Drinks margaritas were great; appetizer quesadia ( veg), mini tacos ( veg and chicken) and enchiladas along with Churros/ chocolate + Tres Leches was excellent. Thank you Mez team
The customer service that we received was absolutely horrible. Which is hard for me to write bc I actually like eating at this place. I decided to take my assistant manager out to this restaurant to treat her for working hard with my company customer service. While her food was cold. We could not find the waitress and stood up and one of the waiters or manager (couldn’t catch his name) abruptly stares at us and says “do you need something” the look that he gave me was just not welcoming. I then stated “her food is cold” he then comes to our table and stated “I have never had to take food back here as long as I’ve been here.” This should’nt have been said to a regular customer. Again I eat here all the time and I invite plenty guests here as well. We then speak to the waitress who was nice to us however she quickly took our plates speeding us to leave. I will not be back to the place not because of the food bc it’s great. However because of the service we received. I will also be calling to speak with the general manager of this restaurant only because as a general manager myself, customer service should always be equally given. You never know who you’re treating. Being kind is so hard to come by these days in customer service. And for me to spend minutes to write this proves that this was unacceptable. We paid for our bill and left after we express to the waitress that everything was great AFTER we received our food and WE apologized if we caused any inconvenience for them to warm the food. She literally walks away as we both are telling her thank you for your service. Just wasn’t what I was expecting. I don’t want any free food, just want your managers to know that being kind and nice goes a long way! Take care!
Excellentexican food and great drinks. The service was also awesome, speedy and efficient.I had the birria tacos, which were great and the Mez special margarita was well put together as well.We started with Guacamole, chips and queso and they were all awesome. If you're on Durham and looking for some quality mexican, Mez is definitely a great choice. It does tend to get busy in the evenings though so if going for dinner, reservations are recommended.
We went there for a late lunch and was surprised to find that you don’t get chips and salsa with your meal. So we ordered some as an appetizer and then got enchiladas. Everything was very tasty and the waitress was great.
Such friendly staff!!! Food was really good. Happy with everything, so happy the had Mexican street corn. Will be back. We forgot our leftovers and the host came out to run it to us.
Just had a team dinner at Mez. Food was delicious; staff is very friendly and accommodating!!
Our team had a meeting/dinner in the 2nd floor private area. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Booking was easy and we will definitely hold more events there moving forward.
I was inspired by someone on TikTok to leave an honest review for the people, so here I am. Apparently this place is temporarily closed at the moment, and this will not upset anybody in town if they remained that way. I should have known something was up when I walked in and didn’t see any Mexican folks working there. I thought the atmosphere was pleasant, so I stayed against my better judgment. The gist is: their menu is very limited, they are way overpriced, and the food is unseasoned. If you want to look fancy or flex for the ‘gram you could come here, or…you could actually eat good food.
