Delicious chicken shawarma, plus lots of comfort food grocery items. Excellent prices, worth driving to if you're in Durham for any other reason. Friendly staff. Minus one star because of the flies around the register and the trash can, but they aren't bothersome.
I wish I snapped a picture of every time I get food from here, but unfortunately it’s so good it’s always gone before I remember to capture the moment. The spices used in their dishes are so unique, you have to try it yourself. Food is delicious!!! Recommend the curry chicken platter. It’s a huge portion. Flavorful food with great service. These folks are incredibly friendly and will recommend tasty sides. They have a small grocery with fun and unique finds as well. Go try their food!!!!
Shawarma was very tasty, filling and awesome . My daughter and myself enjoyed our food and ambience . As it was the first time they offered me anything that I can sample and I asked for baklawa as my daughter likes it and they gave me a piece. Thank you .
Excellent Gyro and Greek Salad. I'm not vegan, but I had come here on the advice of vegan friends who love the options here and suspected the meat options had to be delicious too, and it definitely was. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and the pita bread of the gyro was nice and soft unlike so many other Mediterranean restaurants.The staff are so kind and the location and outdoor seating are calm and pleasant to dine in.
This is my favorite Mediterranean spot! I just left here after ordering the Chicken Schwarma pita which is normally amazing. It is normally smothered in a delicious garlic sauce with seasonings on it. This sandwich was so dry I could barely eat it. The flavor was not good at all. I couldn't take it back because I was on a lunch break and on my way back to work when I opened my food. Coming here always makes me late back to work so I won't be taking the chance on this happening to me again. Please train the guy that was on the grill today!
I loved this restaurant. First the place is gorgeous. It has a really nice outside with tables and a small garden, fabulous. Suitabler for a spring lunch. The prices are good. Food is hearty, and savory. The attention is good. And they have also the grocery store with a lot of products. I asked for the Lamb Kebab Platter, it comes with marinated meats served over a bed of basmati rice with fresh parsley, and a choice of any two vegetarian items, pita bread and tahini sauce. This was delicious. Good concept, pleasant place, nice food. I will come back.
Whole in the wall place, but quality is 5-stars! I’ve been looking for a Mediterranean spot that I could compared to Jerusalem grille in Marietta, Ga, which is my favorite Mediterranean spot, and this location is the closest it got to it! Food was fresh, flavorful, and affordable! Definitely recommend it for people who like Mediterranean!
Great food! We had shawarma and fries. I also had some baklava which was outstanding…flaky and light pastry with such a Rich flavor! The restaurant is also a grocery store so it’s pretty utilitarian in terms of decor but the food makes it totally worth it.
