Liked the brisket and ribs. Little devils was great too. The point is, getting them all within 30 was heavenly for a meat lover.
We got BBQ and Brisket. Both we great... sauce was definitely optional because the meat itself was seasoned and sauced perfectly! Fried okra was crunchy and salted just right. The Mac and Cheese was somewhat bland. Full disclosure: I am not generally a fan of mac and cheese but wanted to try out the Smoked Guyese.The atmosphere was casual and light. The gentleman behind the bar was friendly and made everyone feel very welcome and at home.Highly recommend.
Super friendly service offering recommendations on food and drinks. Food was delicious (BBQ plate) and drinks were generous (whiskey, beer). Great food and atmosphere. Perfect for a warm day.
We stopped by today for a quick lunch and ended up staying about 3 hours just for the fun atmosphere. The food was great, but Anthony and Ron definitely livened up the place with great conversation and some fun music. The beer selection was perfectly crafted and we each had several that we enjoyed. We will absolutely come back again when we are on the area.
The food was great and the staff were kind and helpful. This is definitely a must try place!! I got lemon pepper chicken wings, pulled chicken, smoked sausages, green beans and slaw. All delicious!!!
My family was visiting me and wanted to have some BBQ, so we decided to try this place. After ordering we waited 45 minutes for our food, and only 2 out of the 4 meals were right. We tried to explain the situation to the man who took our order behind the counter. We were very understanding that they were short staffed and was just hoping to have the order corrected. Instead that man was snippy with us and said “I sent out four plates” and was confused why we wanted the correct order. We gave him the receipt showing him how wrong the order was and he was still rude to us! A true man-Karen! My meal was one of them which was messed up and it took over an hour to get my food out. When it finally came out, I had to put on so much hot sauce to actually make it taste alright. The man-Karen offered to refund my meal yet never did (I didn’t initiate asking for the refund, but maybe he realized how rude he was and was trying to save-face). I’m embarrassed that this is the memory my family has of Durham, since it painted the picture of rude hospitality and disgusting sanitation (almost all the tables inside and under the shaded patio were full of dishes & the bathrooms resembled gas station bathrooms). Will never ever waste my money here again.
Very good food. Very nice people.We went for lunch and got the combo with pork, brisket, mac & cheese, fried okra, and shush puppies. We got Parmesan wings, the brat (homemade), and sweet potato fries. All the food was great. The brat was amazing - best brat we’ve had in a while. Would get that every time.The atmosphere was nice - it great to have the garage doors open on a nice day. Good vibes.Great place to get BBQ with friends.
Incredibly average. Food was way overcooked, but we were starving. Smelled incredible, but flavor was minimal. Service was good, so that's a plus. Maybe the drinks are better? I'll let yall decide.
Great place for Smoked beef brisket, chicken and sausage. I tried all three absolutely delicious Mavericks barbecue sauce is amazing. Definitely going back again real soon!!??
Ordered a NC Chopped Pork sandwich with hush puppies and potato salad. Would’ve been a great sandwich if they didn’t forget the bun haha. But the chopped pork was solid, well flavored with that signature vinegary NC style. The potato salad was excellent and I’m not the biggest fan of cold salads.
