Such care with the food that is served. I had the jajangmyeon, it was so well flavored and was just the right portion. My son had the ramen, it was a little salty, but overall it was so evident the amount of care taken in preparation, he loved it. We didn’t order but saw plenty of plates of KFC, they looked amazing. Over all would definitely come back.
The ramen is really good, the best we’ve had so far in the few places we’ve tried. I like the concept of having the menu on the board. We went around 4pm so we came before the crowd. Great service. Their yuzu ice cream and coconut sorbet was delicious! The only thing I will say is although their fried chicken is delicious, the size of the wings make the dish overpriced at $18.
The fried chicken was not marinated enough so it’s very bland inside. The Hainanese chicken tastes good but the portion is too small. The ramen is not good. The broth is bland and not aromatic. The toppings are kinda weird. In general, not great food.
Great food and cute spot. I had the curry udon and it was great!PS: It's easy to miss this spot since it's tucked inside; I accidentally went to their other restaurant.
M Kokko is a hidden gem in downtown Durham. I ordered the pork buns and spicy kfc wings. They have limited seating inside so I would recommend putting yourself on the waitlist, and then explore downtown. Although this place is small, it’s quality.
Tasty ramen and wings. Will definitely be going back.
Fancy fusion Asian restaurant. I got the ramen. The noodles were cooked to perfection. The soup however was on a salty side. Since this ramen was not authentic already I wish they would also toned down the salt. The “soft” boiled egg was so soft the yolk was running out of it where you can’t really see it, but flavorful. The “char siu” pork was a piece of pork belly cooked and charred over flame. But the meat wasn’t tender and it came with a big piece of fat that’s not very tasty. The wait for a bowl of noodle was a bit long considering they only had four of five items on the menu.
TL;DR - great food, great staff, a little slow.I've been here a few times now. The first couple times the whole experience has been great. It was a little rough this time around. It took about 40 minutes to get a chicken sandwich after ordering. I don't know where the hiccup was in the service, as this was the first time I've had issues. Regardless, the staff are friendly, the food is fantastic, but the timing could be greatly improved. The chicken sandwich, while not quite Nashville hot, was very flavorful and had an excellent tempura breading. The salad was well balanced. I don't think you can really go wrong here.Currently, they are walk up only, and we didn't have much trouble getting a table.
I have never had ramen like this before! Very delicious. We went for an early dinner and there was no wait for a table
We got there right when it opened and there were already people lined up outside. I had the spicy ramen and my sister had the regular ramen. The service was good, the ramen was flavorful, and we got our food relatively quickly.
