What a great bar! Expertly crafted cocktails in a super cool atmosphere. There are tables to sit at, but the bar is my pick. Great time!

2 stars because this place has a beautiful and modern ambiance. Plus, the hostess was incredibly sweet and helpful. Would like to give her 5 stars if it was possible! Maybe she should be promoted to training the bartenders how to treat customers? All downhill after getting to the bar. Last night was the 3rd time I’d been to this place and was the least busy of my 3 visits. I’ve given the inattentive bartenders some grace the first couple of times because they were so busy… I was very disappointed after waiting for 10 minutes, hoping that someone would at least acknowledge me, and that they would get to me when they could? Nothing… I ended up leaving and going to a different, way busier place with MUCH BETTER service.I’m really bummed out because I love what the owners claim to have founded the establishment on.

Real nice social style lounge. Perfect vibe to grab a fancier cocktail. It did seem a bit pricy for an old fashioned which I believe was $15. Never paid that price even at some of the whiskey distilleries I frequent. With that said, the drinks were on point and the bartenders were doing a great job. For me, I'd go back and get a single drink then move on

It’s a nice space. Jazz on Tuesday nights. Lively venue.

I went on a Thursday night so the ambiance was nice, chill, and there weren’t too many people there. It reminded me of bars I’ve been to visit in larger cities. The drink was delicious and so were the snacks. However the bartender was not friendly, talkative, barely acknowledged me… not what I’m used to at my favorite bars. Maybe it’s just their style but not my cup of tea.

One of the best cocktail bars in Durham. Kingfisher has an excellent, dark aesthetic that is perfect for evening drinking. They focus on local selections and credit the artists who help make everythinf from some of the cocktail glasses to the snack options to even the menu design itself. This isn't the place for a cheap drink, but it's definitely worth going to nonetheless. They'll make any classic off menu coktaio you want, but I'd highly recommend trying one of their many unique specialty cocktails in the menu, none have disappointed so far.

Excellent small cocktail bar. My wife and I had a great time and we will definently go back.

My friends and I came to enjoy ourselves for a good night out. When we arrived one of friends(white female) was told to come right in. The rest of us (black males and females) were told to provide a vaccination cards to enter. We asked the guy at the door why our other friend did not have to show proof and he replied because she’s good. Now let me see your vaccination cards and you all can come in. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. It says a lot about a business when they allow someone like this to be the first point of contact when coming to their establishment. I do not recommend anyone black or white to visit this place.

Wow! Loved the vibes. My review may be biased bc on a busy night, we were able to snag a table in one of their more semi-private rooms. This allowed us to have conversations without yelling and be away from the crowd, which I personally preferred.Overall, their ambiance was nice, they check for vaccine cards so be sure to bring it, and all of their drinks were tasty & well presented!!Would definitely recommend bringing a friend here and grabbing a drink ?

Kingfisher is a great bar! The drinks are so delicious and creative. It is always crowded when we go, but good bars usually are. They are currently requiring all guests to be vaccinated and will request proof of vaccination. I do wish a server would have attended to us where we were seated, but thankfully getting drinks from the bar did not take long. It was just awkward to reach over other guests seated at the bar.
