I travel to Durham a couple of times a year and I have always wanted to stop by — today was the day. I had a single burger with onions and King’s Sauce. It was exceptional. Long line at lunch on a Saturday — and a wait, in the sun, for the order to be served, but part of the experience. Outside seating only — picnic tables under cover.
This place is amazing! The fried okra is EXACTLY on point. Best I have had in years, hands down. Went here yesterday, it was so good I'm back today! Friendly and kind staff too. Thank you for this excellent food! (:
Can’t go wrong with Kings! I always get a single burger with tots. It’s more than enough food. But get the double if you’re feeling up to it. Plus, bring your pup and they’ll give them a hot dog!
Best burgers in town ! We heard of this place on TicTok and had to try it . Real beef burgers use Duke mayo which is the best ! Not stingy with the bacon at all.. & they have Okra ! Will be back ! Curtis in the kitchen is the best and all the workers had great energy
I have to say .. this prolly the best thing since sliced bread .. Mr Curtis in the kitchen really loves what he does and you can taste it in every bite from one cook to another thank you ??
Pretty good takeaway sandwich shop. Burgers are def their strong suit. The fried chicken sandwich is good, but is more akin to a fast food/frozen chicken sandwich than hand breaded. We’ll be back for the burgers for sure.
Very good food. I got the burger and fries and my wife got the shrimp po' boy. They did an excellent job of charging me for every upgrade (kings sauce, remmi sauce, honey mustard, chili, and peppers. I don't mind paying extra but at least make sure I get the .50 cent grilled peppers I paid for please. I will come back but will have to check my food since they also got my wife's order wrong.
The only thing I've had on their menu is the single cheeseburger with fries and a drink. It is delicious and is one of the better burgers in Durham in my opinion.
Got to try King’s for the 1st time. Got a crispy chicken sandwich w/ fries and a regular burger. Both were great and tasted fresh! I was impressed with the customer service too. Will definitely be back
Great service and awesome food, got the King's combo with red dogs c/k/m with tots and a sweet tea, delicious! I appreciate any place who still serves red dogs, it's that or nothing for me. Will definitely be back!
