The coffee was great but I often come here before work. I always leave 20 mins extra time before work and I was told that it's like 20 mins for a sandwich. Staff seems to always move slow when there is people ordering. Also I always get asked to leave a tip even when I order to go. I moved here from elsewhere and I was not expected to tip for a $6 to go coffee.
Delicious drip coffee + lattes! My favorite is a lavender latte with oat milk (they also have macadamia nut milk). I don’t think they charge extra for dairy-free milk which is nice!As of June 2022: masks are still required within the store unless you’re sitting at a table.
Matcha quality is subpar, dull green, and lacking in vibrancy. Coffee can be hit or miss! Biggest complaint would probably be that the more savory sandwiches are almost always sold out even when arriving around 11/12. You’d think one would want to adjust morning preparation and inventory to benefit off of customers who come in around lunch hours. I’ve come in a few times now and the lunch items are always sold out but not the breakfast sandwiches.Make that make sense. Also have had a few specialty milks that have been sold out the few times I’ve been which seems like another poor inventory stock oversight. So keep that in mind if you’re lactose intolerant. At least the loose leaf teas are consistent in quality and they generally have a good selection of baked goods. They do ask if you’d like to leave a tip after ordering which I don’t think is a huge deal.Just say no if you don’t want to tip.Overall take away? Core inventory issues that need to be addressed. If you’re going to have pretentious energy at least have the decency to to match the energy with quality and service consistency.
Pretty ridiculous that they likely to publicly put you on the spot by announcing (quite loudly mind you) if you want to leave a tip. The employees are apathetic at best. Overhyped coffee, overpriced beans.
Worse breakfast burrito ever. Even for a coffee shop. All I could taste was a pile of cold unmelted cheese. Good coffee but the food?Cilantro? Onion? anything with flavor?
Very good coffee. Ordered a large coffee to drink while there. I didn't care for the style of cup they use. Too heavy with such a small handle. Next time I'll ask for a take out cup.
First time ever visiting, was looking for something other than Starbucks. Broad St. location. I don't know. Just didn't feel welcome. Perhaps because I didn't wear a mask while ordering. Maybe I should have just pulled up a chair to the counter to order, because all 10 of the SEATED customers were also not wearing a mask while studying, reading a book or playing on their computer, and that was acceptable. I now understand the term "I felt unsafe", the vibe was just off-putting. Americano was too watered down and had no "crema" The gluten free cookie was great.
I’ve been here a few times and always been satisfied. The lattes are good and the baked goods have been delicious. I also had their garden frittata which was hot and fresh as well as yummy. Definitely recommend!
Amazing coffee. Love to come for lattes and I use their espresso coffee at home. :) I appreciate theh are continuing to require masks!
Joe Van Gogh was right along our home buying tour route with my clients on Sunday morning - yes and thank you! I love their avocado toast sprinkled with radish this time. And the whole grain bread is substantial and delicious. I got a good old coffee that stuck with me all day. Just the kind of refueling I need for a day of house hunting!! I'll always plan my route with JVG in mind!
