So I had heard some great things about the food here, and I'll say that every word of it was true, this is the perfect brunch spot, from the bottomless mimosas, to the food and for sure the service I was not disappointed. I have had a lot of things smoked but wings was not one until now, and I enjoyed every bite, the fried green tomatoes with the pimento cheese sauce, wow I would buy the sauce alone, it's not the grocery store pimento that's for sure. I have already made a reservation for my next visit, so I'll be back very soon.
Found the food edible but with absolutely no flavor. Had the chicken wing appetizer, fried chick sandwich, eggs Benny with ham and spinach ( can’t remember what it’s called) and the best thing I tasted was the ranch. Atmosphere was great fun and lively.
We went for brunch on Sunday. Our server was Kim and she was phenomenal. Superior service! We had the fried waffle balls, fried green tomatoes, chicken fried steak, and Felix's chorizo hot skillet. We were pleased with everything. We would certainly go back. I'm not sure if reservations are required however I'd highly recommend it. There were several people waiting when we arrived. We were seated immediately as we did make one.
My daughter brought me here today for Easter brunch and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Pete’s Fat kid large enough to share with my daughter as well as fried green tomatoes which are a fav and the biscuits and jam…YUMMY will definitely return.
It was packed, and I know now its because this place is great! Still, we only had about a 10 minute wait to get a table and the service was excellent...food is served fast and was DELICIOUS. The fried green tomatoes, superb..... the shrimp and grits, to die for......the key lime pie, ADDICTIVE!
This is a very busy place especially from brunch. I ordered thr Fried Green Tomatoes. I tried being waffle balls, and the chicken fried steak. The fried green tomatoes were very good. It came with the piminto cheese and some bacon jam with a drizzle of some sort of aioli or ranch that went well. It was delicious. The waffle balls were good, but they weren't something that I probably will order again unless I was really craving that for dessert. The chicken fried steak was good but in my opinion it was over fried. It was a little harder than normal and the gravy didn't seem as fresh. The gravy taste was good though. What appear to be sitting in the warmer too long in my opinion. I asked for scrambled eggs cooked softly. They did a pretty good job of cooking those and I enjoyed the eggs. The hashbrowns were pretty standard. They were similar to other restaurants that have the same kind of hash browns. I do feel that they are strict or have strict rules. For example, I couldn't get the mimosa without the orange juice on the side or without the orange juice. I know that may be kind of funny or strange, but I have been able to do that at all other places that served mimosa. I had to get it straight up. And I'm not a fan of orange juice. So, I ordered another cocktail. Also while ordering that cocktail they said that I couldn't have two drinks sitting in front of me. So, they took the Mimosa once the cocktail was brought out. This is the first place that I've been to where I couldn't separate the orange juice and I couldn't have two cocktail sitting in front of me. I am not sure if I'll be back. I don't know if it was great enough to convince me to come back, especially for me being a free person; I don't like too many rules.
We're northerners so don't know alot about popular southern food. We liked the decor and friendliness of the staff. We thought both the fried catfish and shrimp & grits were quite tasty - and filling. We ordered the hushpuppies, which were easiy shared between the two of us. Both the banana pudding and key lime pie were served in low, Mason-jar style dishes. All-in-all a tasty introduction to Southern food.
Brunch and bottomless mimosas!
Thoroughly enjoyed our mealAnd got exceptional service at the bar. Tj and Kim(pretty sure this was her name) were amazing and created a great atmosphere. The cauliflower, hush puppies and smoked wings were on point! I suggest the garlicky green beans and Brussels as sides for sure.Banana pudding and key lime pie were a great way to finish! Will definitely be back!
Good food and good drink. Mimosas were great. Shrimp and grits were spot on. Good vibe as well. Will definitely go again
