I use to come here every year for my birthday but not for the last few years. This visit was noticeably different. Come in no one to sit you even though she watched us walk in. But we waited for her without rushing. We sat down placed our orders and had the order read back correctly. The food arrived one plate at a time. The food was prepared but not how we order or how it was read back. We sent it back a few times. It wasn't that the order was incorrect. The cook just did their own thing without consulting the order slip. Also we had to consistently point out plates that had yet to come out. We were aware that our server was getting frustrated and made a point to inform her that it wasn't not her fault and she did her part when it came to order, as I said she read it back and kept our glasses full. I'll admit we still ended up having a different server complete or check out. And with that I would say......maybe try a different IHOP.....oh and they had a whole chicken tender in the original seats offered to us
Upon arrival we were seated right away. I could see how busy everyone was including our waitress. Finally it is our turn to order. After receiving our beverages it was time to wait and wait and wait, about twenty minutes or so passes and still no food. So our waitress after noticing my impatience says I’ll check on your food now. She then get the other people order behind us then brings their beverages and goes to the register. Still no food. Finally she comes by hurriedly places a plate of food on the table and leave. So I’m waiting for her-to let her-know the order is incorrect. When I do get that opportunity she replied “ I didn’t make that mistake the kitchen did.” I saw a manager passing by and quickly grabbed his attention. With his eyes turned upward I told him what happen. Point of the matter is I wasn’t looking for blame just correction. She actually took the order there for why bring an incorrect order to a table and say kitchens fault. What has happened to professionalism I’m not sure but its certainly not at IHOP Durham, NC. We paid and I did leave a tip, I didn’t want to be whipped by those lashes ?
Our waiter Greg was very helpful and attentive to us. The reason why I’m rating a 2 is because of the quality of our food. My granddaughter had a burger and it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. My son had pancakes and crepes and they weren’t cooked thoroughly. The cooks there need more training in cooking the food thoroughly.
Our waitress Linda was very sweet and kind. She stayed on top of things.
Pretty good Breakfast place despite how busy they are. I went to the Charlotte one months back and they took forever. Then I went to this one on they were pretty good and kinda quick. I got the Chicken and Waffle and it’s pretty good. Around $10 but good food
This is simply what everyone needs. Whether your winding down from a night of debauchery or starting your day with style, IHOP is here. Get the pancakes. Get sausage. Get both! No one will judge you or care as long as you pay. The syrup selections are conveniently tasty and let's you get your aesthetic on! Don't leave this Earth without at least trying once the pancakes with the syrup.
This location has never disappointed me, except when they were closed! The servers are always attentive, and the food is always perfectly cooked . Try the Double Blueberry Pancakes. You won't be sorry.
Had a very nice experience here and looking to return. The reason we go is we want a breakfast but don't feel like or can't get it because we are on the road.Let's start to admit we can get a quick breakfast sandwich or cup of coffee almost anywhere but where can you go and can just stop? Can those fast food chains make it good just way you want it. I know I've tried to make my pancakes like they do but haven't quite got it. I got the hashbrowns and they were perfect. The waitress Imani was very helpful and she was great at making us feel at home.So yes, there are choices for breakfast and definitely yes, you can go real cheap or you can be happy with what you pay.Make it a great start of your day and give this location a chance.
We waited 15 minutes to be seated. Servers looked at us with no acknowledgment whatsoever. We left after not being seated after employees passed us multiple times. We will not be returning to this location.
Love this place. Service excellent, with food very well prepared and enjoyable. Then I had a dinner take out.
