The food here is amazing! I have been eating NC BBQ for my entire life and this is hands down one of the best places I have ever eaten BBQ. Nothing fancy, just good food. They have a drive thru and are quick with your order. I also tried the fried chicken and it was also delicious! They make their own BBQ and I would highly recommend trying it as it was quite good. Hush puppies are also a must eat.
Great BBQ and the staff is the best. I have an autoimmune disease with lots of food allergies, and they were extremely accommodating to me. I’m so, so thankful! We were just passing through while traveling, so our only regret is that we can’t come back more frequently! Thank you guys so much :)
BBQ is consistently very good. Sauce is thin and a little spicy. Nice creamy slaw. I tried the Shrimp Burger. It was not a “burger”, it was a generous pile of smallish fried shrimp on a sesame bun. Ice tea was weak. Bonus: seniors get 10% discount.
I was hungrier for ribs so we stopped in at Hog Heaven as I gotten ribs there before. You have to order at a windows. I was disappointed to find out that they didn’t have ribs, so got a BBQ sandwich. We found a table as we waited for our name to be called. During our wait I noticed our table was sticky and looked around. As dinners left, no one came out to bus the tables. I also noticed that the floors look dirty. After a long wait, we got our order and decided to do take out. Of course, everything was cold when we got home. I was very disappointed and we will find another BBQ restaurant in the future.
This place was full of surprises and the best one was the food. I can't say enough about how good the food was. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. My friends were visiting from out of state and raved about the fish and the chopped barbecue. Thank you. I will definitely return.
First time eating here tonight.The Friend chicken was good. Somewhat of a KFC vibe but better and not as greasy.Mac 'n cheese, potato salad and hush puppies were solid also.I'll be back soon to try the BBQ and catfish!My only complaint is they don't enforce the mask rule (but that has nothing to do with the food/service. I got my order to go anyway ??♂️).
The food here is pretty good, fast service, & gets quite a bit of business. Reheated food and at it later, was still good. I had to add a lil of my own magic to the barbecue sauce, and adjust the mac&cheese flavor, sort of generic, like diabetic macNcheez, no flavor. My order had gotten taken. When they called the elder woman's food out, so I went outside to see if she was waiting in the car, figuring our orders were about to come up. I knew it was hers because I heard overheard her order, didn't realize she'd jetted off with mine, so one of the staff, had replaced mine since my order was long gone. Again, food was good, decent, fast service, but something is disorganized about them repeatedly having this issues with orders, pretty much being the only blip so far.
Had this place for lunch as my wife got her nails done. It was down the street from Home Depot and I thought it would be decent. I had ordered the wings dinner, pork chop dinner and the shrimp burger. I literally threw the entire chicken dinner out of the window . . . All of the food anyways (didn't throw the trash out just the food) it made me want to physically throw up. I know we are in a chicken shortage but that chicken seemed like it was old and sat out for a long while before being fried. The pork chop was good the greens, the mac and cheese, I tried just wasn't for me. The shrimp burger was literally some popcorn shrimp thrown on a bun?. My wife just ate the shrimp and fries. I do not believe this place was for me. But thankfully the pork chops were good and they had Pibb Xtra on the fountain drink side so still thankful. Also the service wasn't too bad for a place like this they did have convenience on their side as they had a drive-thru. They also had a dine-in area as well.
Not bad just missing some flavors. BBQ was very bland and I know sauce is on side but I have been to several others and something was just missing. People there are welcoming. Drive thru was oddly placed I could not tell where start and finish. I was just confused on it all.
