Ordered fired chicken wings and rice. Wings weren’t freshly cooked, but were old, greasy and rubbery. Other times ordered I’ve ordered, they were freshly cooked crispy, hot and delicious. Beware !!!
The owner took 5 phone calls without acknowledging me being physically at the window and ready to order. Ordered pork lo mein, which was ready in less than 2 minutes. Tasted like it was from a cheap buffet; meaning that it probably was mass prepared and sitting there waiting to be ordered. Was extremely bland and not enjoyable. Won't be going back.
I have been going here for year's and it's been the best Chinese around. Since the pandemic hit the food has been made in bigger batches to save time I'm guessing. But that means my food has been sitting for hours and being recooked on the stove over and over so it can stay hot. This is disappointing
Best kept secret, I have not had a bad fish from their menu.. Try the Singapore noodles!!!
The best orange chicken in NC
I've been going to this place for years and have always had good food and good service. A while back, I had shrimp fried rice that tasted awful and I called there and they said," bring back now"!I did not want to bring it back right now I was already at my house. They would not write my name down so I could come another time and replace the bad order, so I decided I wouldn't go back again. In a moment of weakness I decided to try them again and the food and the service was absolutely terrible! Two small shrimp fried rice and two egg drop soups for $17 in change. that is absolutely outrageous when you compare what you would pay for a large order of fried rice during hours they don't offer lunch specials. Notice this is my opinion. The bathrooms,(before the Pandemic) were very nasty-It's been said: A restaurant's lavatory is a great indication of of the cleanliness,of their kitchen/food prep area. For Good Chinese Food :. to Bamboo House or the one one on the corner of Guess Rd. and Fawn, adjacent to the car was beside the car wash. Great Food. I promise. My name is Chad and I'm a native of Durham.
Great little family owned take-out place. No this is not 5 star cuisine, but it's excellent for a wide variety of primarily Cantonese and Hunan dishes, with some specialty dishes thrown in for variety. Food is consistent, orders are filled quickly, and prices are great. I've been going there for 5 years and have never been disappointed.
The curry chicken dish is delicious. If you want it legitimately spicy ask for extra spicy, but either way I thought it tasted really good :-) The people there are nice and there are pretty good lunch combo prices and options. I get two meals out of it every time.
Just my opinion... probably the best mom and pop type Chinese restaurant in Durham. ALWAYS my go to place for Chinese food!!
This is the only Chinese restaurant we use.why? Because it is so yummy. They are quick , always ready in 15 min.
