Some of the best Mexican food in the triangle! The mole had such a complex flavor, never had anything like it. Nice big portions too.
You should skip this place and try one of the other Mexican restaurants near by. I ordered a burrito and a taco plate. The food wasn't bad but the price and the wait time is what got me. $26 and a 45 minute wait time just don't feel worth it to me.
Southern Mexico cuisine. The al pastor was dry in the tacos, and the steak in the quesadilla was overcooked, dry and tough. The sauce on the chile relleno was very nice and the flavor was good, but the cheese inside was not melted. The menudo was good.
Omg... I thought N.C didn't have good Mexican food. My how I was wrong. Durham has it covered. Found this place, recommended by my fellow workers. Can't say enough of how lucky I was to discover such a place. Check out my dinner, Mole and Tacos! 5 star all the way! Don't mind the line of people ordering. The food comes fast and often. I'm happy as can be!
I got a queso pupusa and the quesabiarria. I can't even describe how good this food was. I just happened to be in Durham and decided to go here but I would make the trip to come here anytime. The staff was really helpful and explained to me what everything was on the menu. I would post a picture of the food but I was so memorized by the flavor that I ate it all. TL;DR GO HERE ASAP, DON'T THINK JUST GO!!!!!!!!
Excellent authentic Mexican restaurant! I tried sopa de camarón (shrimp soup) and enchiladas Verdes. The price point is about $10-15, but they serve a really generous amount of food. Highly recommend if you itch some Mexican food!
Food is very good but recently (last six months) the wait has gotten longer and longer… regularly waiting 30-45 minutes for a bowl of soup or burrito which should be pretty quick to prepare. I’m not sure what the issue is with the speed but I don’t know how much longer I can keep waiting 30-45 minutes for a burrito just to support this business I have been going to for years, given that there are plenty of good Mexican restaurants in town.
Cheap, quick, authentic, and most of all amazing. What's not to love?
Love the food here! Always busy at lunch but the food is authentic and amazing. I crave it!
Everything we tried on the menu is absolutely amazing: ribs in sauce, consomé, popusas, regular tacos with various meats - all outstanding. Always slammed, good sign of things done right.
