It's an nice cozy place. The mimosas are strong n good! We sat outside upstairs. It was sort of hot but we managed. I ordered the West end grits bowl. It wasn't bad. I just wished my egg yolk wasn't running. My friend had a chicken biscuit with bacon. Her biscuit was sort of dry and crumbly. The side of maple peppered bacon I ordered was the best thing next to our drinks.
Very cute, inside an old gas station. We chose to eat outside as it was a beautiful day. There is also a second story outdoor eating area which was closed for a private event while we were there. Food was delicious and service was great. Next visit we plan to stop here again! My daughter did Mama's Big Bird and I did the Piper's Pickwich with the Mediterranean tuna, a salad and fruit.
This place has really good food! Especially the burgers! Customer service is great! They even let you bring your Well Behaved pet! Great job GRUB Durham.
Excellent food! I got the brussel sprout sandwich and it was so delicious. I do think this place could be improved with more efficient ordering. There was a long wait in line, but plenty of open tables. I much prefer being able to sit and order online from my phone if table service isn't available.
Very nice and friendly staff. The Maybelle's Brisket is an absolute must try if they have it.The smoothies are really good too.
GRUB Durham is a delicious southern restaurant located with easy access from downtown and Duke campus. They are super busy and they close early, so make sure you plan your visit accordingly. That being said, the wait is worth it! I ate the bbq chicken wings which are smoked in house, and it was delicious. The owners were there and they were very friendly along with all other staff.
Sat outside on the patio for dinner and the brussel sprout sandwich was ABSOLUTELY delicious! One of the best meals I have had in a while, highly recommend!
My husband wanted to do a rooftop experience for his 50th, but the downtown hotel venues were insanely expensive. We happened upon Grub and were so grateful. The roof is perfect (half open; half covered), the food was phenomenal, the service was spectacular, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Totally recommend!
Went for dinner our first night in Durham. Menu had enough variety to keep two different tastes happy. Portion size was pretty good. We got there right at 5PM when they opened and it took a few minutes to find their groove. We sat outside on the 'dog friendly' patio. Note- they are open for breakfast and lunch, then close mid day and reopen for dinner. Try that veggie hash. Very good.
Good service and a nice spot. The food here was phenomenal the first time I came a couple years ago. It was good this time, just not good enough to bring me back again. The breakfast hash bowl is legit sliced corned beef with some flavorful peppers under some blandly cooked potatoes. 2 slices of bacon for $3 as a side is pretty ridiculous too.
