I really hate to do this, but I must. The food was the worst food ever! I ordered the fried chicken, ribs, sides: mac & cheese, baked beans, and collards. I had to throw ever bit of it in the trash!... It was that horrible! The chicken pieces were huge, and the ribs were of terrible flavor and quality. Both meats had a peculiar smell, and the taste was very bland and had no flavor. That indicate that meat is bad/beyond expiration and or it is raised poorly and really not suitable for human consumption. I don't usually eat ribs but decided I would go for it as a one-time occasion. I am very sick to my stomach from the little I did try to eat and it left me with an upset stomach. The sides were just as horrible! To much salt and made from cheap quality cans, box products, and cheese. Please, please do not take my review as mean. I am a very nice person and hate to do this but, you must know when you offer a service and collect money for that service, you should feel obligated to bring your best. Serving the public bad and cheap quality food is not worth the risk of getting reviews like this one. Sorry!

Great food, great service, down home cooking with Love thrown in! Best Brunswick stew I have eaten in over 20 years. Chopped barbecue, lean and juicy and smoked brisket that melts in your mouth! Collards to die for! See for yourself!! Did I mention the peach cobbler I brought home for dessert?? Yum!!

With out a doubt, the best home cooked meal I've had in years. Collards, Chicken dumplings, BBQ, Brunswick stew, and THE HUSHPUPPIES!All were so good. Ms. Theresa is an excellent, extremely talented chef that takes proud in her cooking and in her service. If all "mom and pop" restaurants were like this, I'd never eat in a chain restaurant again. Loved it

Absolutely amazing fresh-cooked barbecue and the best collard greens my partner has ever had. A real hidden treasure with a lovely proprietor; I feel

I had a few bbq sandwiches. On freaking point! Actually cooked over wood adding great flavor. I read all of these reviews, i agree with excellent hospitality. Pricing for these days was about right, anyone claiming the bbq wasn't good either doesnt like nc style or maybe it was an off day, i didnt even add extra sauce and it was juicy enougb on its own.

The food was delicious it was cooked with love. My husband & I had the flounder it was cooked just right along with our sides fries, baked beans & potato salad. We're definitely going back we love restaurants that do home cooking. This is a place everyone must try especially if you're into home cooking. Tresa Walker keep making ppl smile.

Great food. Very home style.

The fried chicken is always banging. If u don't like Carolina type sauce you ask them for tomato based bbq sauce.

The flounder was good 3 nice size

Amazing food and wonderful staff, can't wait to return when my husbands family is in town! Always fun to show family members hidden gems in town! Already craving the banana dessert and I just ate it 15mins ago! Lol
