Some of the better Mexican food I've had in the Durham-Chapel Hill area.The beef in the burrito was nicely seasoned. Thre sauce on the burrito was delicious. As you can see from the photo, it is a huge burrito.The cheese enchilada was likewise delicious. The cheese was some of best I've ever jad in an enchilada.The moldè sauce had a hint of cocoa and was very good.My only disappointment was the salsa. It was very think and tasted like tomato juice. It lacked any flavor other than that of tomatoes. However, since everything else was so good, it's not a deal killer.Service was great and plenty of atmosphere.Go there, you will get your money's worth
So I came here for cinco de Mayo. Now I understand it was busy and short staffed, HOWEVER the waiter we had stopped by the tables NEAR US but never to us. We were there maybe an hour or so and this was because he seated us well he had someone else seat us, came to the table maybe 15 minutes after sitting down to introduce him as our waiter then asked if we wanted to start off with water , (we were about to order alcohol too.) immediately after us saying yes to the water he rushed off very quickly. We then had another 10 minute wait for the water. Then when he comes back he tries to rush off again, I had to yell out like hey we want to order drinks. He must’ve not heard me because a lady Came over about five minutes later to take our drink order. We ordered margaritas and she didn’t even write the order down. Came back about twenty minutes later and 3 out of the 4 that were ordered, were wrong. Waited another 10 minutes for that. Finally got to order the food, waiting about 35 minutes for the food and it came out cold. It was ridiculous at that point. Margaritas were good but food was okay. Service was horrible. Didn’t get checked on not ONCE for remaining time after getting food or actually at all for that matter. Was a little disappointed.
Why is it sour cream lettuce and tomatoes nor rice or beans does not come with the fajitas you gotta choose between 2 and yes that's includes sour cream for crying out loud how greedy do restaurants got to be. Be better will never be back and gonna tell everyone who asks to not waste their hard earned money here I dont leave reviews often so take this into consideration. Be better who ever the owner is period no wonder the place is so dead update on the food coming
Shopping decided to stop in. Very pleasant surprise. Food flavorful-,served fresh, hot Salsas good, reasonable prices and attentive server Would go back- try different entrees We had fajita , enchiladas- very good
With El Rodeo what you see is what you get, and that's all I could ask for. They fit the bill of typical commercial Mexican-American eatery, and they have all the staples you'd expect. They get 4 stars simply for not doing anything wrong, and for having consistent product quality and friendly staff.
My wife chose this place based on past experience. Afterward she interrogated me about my experience. I told her the beef in my taco didn't have much flavor, the salsa was overpowered by cilantro, and my chimichanga was not crisp and more like an enchilada. There was a lot of food so I didn't leave hungry. But I didn't think my meal was that good. She told me that her chili rellano was not as good as usual either. So overall, I give it 3 stars.

My bestie and I went for impromptu lunch (margaritas) . They give you a ton of food that was reasonably priced we both went home with a gold plates and had it for dinner that night. The chicken pineapple are the best. The waitress was amazing. She was very friendly and sociable. And she totally gave us extra liquor and our margaritas, which were super yummy.
I gave this place 2 chances. First time, customer service was horrible, waiter sat around & gave us zero refills.. but the food was alright.. which made me give them a second chance. The second time, customer service was once again horrible. The waitress didn’t even greet us. while taking our order, she seemed annoyed.. and oh forgot anything we asked her for. The food this time was not good. Therefore 1 star isn’t even enough to describe how bad service this place offers.
